I'm back!! =P

So long never blog already. I've been busy with life, mostly working life. Recently OT quite a lot. And when I have time I would watch the Chinese drama called Shen Hua (神话) by Hu Ge (胡歌).

This story is about 2 guys accidentally opened a box from Qing's Dynasty and fell 2000 years back to Qing Dynasty. When I watch this drama I can't help myself from reading the history of Qing Dynasty. lol.. Now I know more about Qin Shi Huang (秦始皇), Xiang Yu (项羽) and Liu Bang (刘邦) already.

I wanted to blog about a lot of things these two weeks, but dun have the time. Like for example the CNY fortune note I got from the monthly meeting saying that I am likely to meet someone I've longed to meet. I'm curious who would that be? Lee Jun Ki? lol...

This month's meeting was picnic at Bukit Jalil park. The picture says I was enjoying massage from Shi Wei. =P

And I wanted to blog about the Putrajaya Night Marathon I went last Saturday. I went for the 7.7km run. Only the first 400 runners will get a medal. I didn't get the medal. Sigh. Run 5 minutes faster then I was chewing on the medal already. What to do, I didn't train at all before the run, what should I expect? The last 2 km was the most hilarious run I had. My running speed was the same with those walking beside me. =.= That was how slow I run during the last 2km. lol...

I finished it in around 1 hour

The next day when I got to know that my neighbour uncle finished the run at 37 minutes (51st) and aunty finished at 51 minutes (96th), I felt so ashamed. Suddenly I felt challenged... Then hor, Sunday met Adam and Yen Jun. When Adam told me that he exercises everyday before and after work, I felt more ashamed. Once upon a time I was quite fit one. Since few months ago when I started to catch cold and diarrhea and etc etc, I stopped all my activities. I had been away from aerobic (cardio) exercises for some time already. I can feel my lung capacity shrinking until nil now lo.. It gets so bad that when I breathe in I can't feel I'm breathing. And now I have flabby arm muscles.. and leg muscles. Sigh.. So unfit lo.. I need to do something already.

And hehe... I bought a pair of new sporty-look swimming goggles. Hehe..

So I'll start with my regular weekly swimming again starting after CNY. Sigh, my company is so far from Pusat Akuatic Darul Ehsan (PADE) now and I dun like 3K swimming pool (too crowdy). I know I keep complaining la. But I miss PADE lo... Miss the big and deep indoor pool. Very good for training, and cheaper if compared with Bukit Jalil swimming pool. And Bukit Jalil swimming pool is not as big and as deep as PADE pool lo... But if I am to go for swimming after work, I would have to squeeze my way through the traffic jam back to Glenmarie and then to Shah Alam for the pool. Not worth it.. Sigh. If I want to swim after work like what I did last time I have to learn to tolerate 3K pool la.. Or I should just swim during the weekend.

Oh by the way, I found that many people were looking for the schedule of Pusat Akuatik Darul Ehsan (PADE) and Bukit Jalil swimming pool. So I thought I should just share the schedule here so that everyone can check both schedules in one page. Easier to plan your time, right? =)

Largest swimming pool in the world

Went straight to Williams for yamcha with Adam, Yumin and Jia Yaw after my Korean class. Our Charliean reunion is getting smaller and smaller in numbers. Sigh. When we reached there we saw Hitz Fm crews giving out freebies near Williams. So left Williams for Hitz Fm crew. I got a Transformers car sticker, Hitz Fm car sticker, one packet of biscuits and a can of soft drink. Then we played a simple number game and I won a Domino Pizza free voucher!

Then the crew asked 5 persons to volunteer to tell a joke in 20 seconds for the Cadbury video contest. Whoever who volunteers to tell the joke can have a bag of Cadbury Chocettes which cost RM30. I really wanted the chocolate but I'm seriously bad in telling English jokes, worse when telling them under pressure. But for the chocolate I would sacrifice my reputation. lol. Adam was also one of the volunteers.

Nobody literally told jokes in the 20 seconds video except a dumb ass, which was me. I should have follow them not telling jokes also lo. Yor... Very wat-tat one lo. At first I actually planned to tell a short joke one, but when I was 'filmed' another joke came out from my mouth. o.O Summore the joke was the longest joke I've told people. Stupid right? Summore actually I was wearing the non-UV protection T-shirt (It says ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRST WXYZ and Non-UV protection T-shirt) I should have just show them this. Dumbass.

Wanna know the joke I told ah? Hehe..

One day, a hungry snail went to a restaurant and knocked onto the door begging for food from the waiter. The waiter kicked the snail away. One month later the snail came back to the restaurant and yelled at the waiter "Why you kicked me?!!"
(Hint for those who can't catch the joke: Snails crawl)

Hmm.. Now I got one very funny joke in my mind. I heard from my colleague.

A psychiatric patient likes to sing. One day he was lying on the bed singing. Then after a while he flipped and lie tummy down and continued singing. The psychiatrist asked him "Why do you flipped?" The patient reply "I've finished playing A side."
(Hint for those who can't catch the joke: Remember how cassettes function? lol)

I like the psychiatric one actually. Hehe. I told my dad this joke last month and he went speechless, like this ---> Haha.

Ok. So what I wanted to say was, the crew, Ken, told me I talked longer than 20 seconds already and I have to start it over again. Very sia sui.. I can now categorize this in one of the dumbest things I've done in my life. Coz I didn't even know what I was telling and nobody catch the joke coz I spoke too fast in broken English summore this joke is supposed to be told in a slower way. Whatever la. I still get the Cadbury. Keke.. So it's mission accomplished. =P

Talk about getting free gifts. Never in my life I've got so many free gifts with such little efforts.

After that we continued with our yamcha at Williams. It's cool seeing them again. I haven't seen them since January I think, when Kexin came back from Japan. Have to meet more often before September coz Yumin is leaving for further studies. Maybe in the future only me, Adam and Jia Yaw yamcha only. So kelian..

Yesterday went to swim after work. I've broken my own record: 40 mins swim 1km. My last record was 1km 45 mins.

Actually I aimed to swim 1km in 30 mins one. But I couldn't make it. I felt too breathless to swim continuously. My next target will be:

1. Complete swimming 2 km non-stop without time limit
2. 100 m completed in 100 seconds (Wanna try whether I can make it. If I can it means I can already take the International Life Saving certs)

Found this astoundingly huge swimming pool in San Alfonso del Mar resort in the central coast of Chile. The length of the pool is 1km!!! Therefore, it's rewarded by the Guinness record the biggest swimming pool in the world. One more thing special with this swimming pool is that the water in the swimming pool is actually pumped from the Pacific ocean, filtered and treated and supplied to the pool!

I like this pool la! I prefer this than the open sea coz it's crystal clear. kaka..

People even sail and canoe in the swimming pool!! o.O

Amazing race weekend

I felt like I was on an amazing race last weekend. Running here and there. And in the end ended up fell asleep in Kim Gary after having dinner with my girls. keke...

The big thing on last weekend was of course the 21km run!

On and off 10 minutes joggings before my work, and one 1 hour jogging a week before the run. These are my pathetic trainings I had for the 21km half marathon. Summore I was having flu one week before the run after the longest training (1 hr run) for one whole working week. Untill Friday only I felt slightly better. But I woke up with a stuffy nose and slight sore throat (again) on Saturday morning. Then I went out 8.30am to get the race pack and then went straight to Port Dickson for Raleigh AGM. I thought I will be back by 10 something but I calculated wrongly. I forgot to include the BBQ dinner which was suppose to start at 8pm.

Watching Raleigh Expedition video made by Shih Chung. It never fails to move me.

Exhausted from the meeting

Group photo after the meeting

Photo of the new Raleigh committee members

Quality control the watermelons. =P

5 girls prepare one bowl of cincau. lol..

Raleigh style =)

I was damn moody when eating the BBQ already coz I was sleepy and hungry (coz BBQ needs a lot of waiting but only can eat very little food o.O) Heay is generally a very nice and sweet person when she's not hungry nor sleepy but can be very scary and unapproachable when she's hungry or sleepy. Even worse if both. We left PD at 10 something and after all the traveling (Thanks to Soon I din need to drive. Sam fu sai..) I reached home at 1am. -.- Then had to wake up at 4am coz meeting up Karen my ex-supervisor to go for the run. Which means I slept 3 hours for the run only! Not cool...

Actually one week before the run I was already planning how not to go for the run. My flu had even strengthen my plan. =P So when I reached home from PD I started to plan my excuses =P

1. I didn't manage to beat the traffic to go to the run (which in the end became invalid coz the traffic was actually very clear)
2. I overslept (I had to fetch my ex-supervisor there too, she's running 10km. I can't be this selfish)
3. My knees and ankles hurts (I always have painful joints when I didn't sleep enough or sleep too late e.g. 3am onwards. But the pain had faded a lot when I reach there -.-)

So I had no more excuses but to face the challenge. If someone tells me these bullshit about giving excuses to run away from a challenge I'll tell myself "This person is such a coward". I won't tell straight to the face la coz this world is democratic. So I can't give up can I? =P

The crowd ready to start the run

Before the run. Seriously I think my arms look chubby enough. lol.

The starting of the run was not fun. Not fun at all. Coz I was still very demotivated. And when I ran many people 'potong' me as if I was running like a tortoise. -.- I kept turning my head to look back coz I was scared I would become the last runner. Very no face one le.. Luckily still got quite a number of people behind me (most of them were the ones who started late one actually.. lol)

Although kena 'potong' didn't feel good, I didn't speed up at the beginning of the run although I got plenty of energy in the beginning coz long runs should start slow then only slowly accelerate one. So I kept psycho myself that I would need the energy to complete the run. Steady speed is better than frequent rests. At quite beginning of the run I saw a white man who ran with limpy left leg. I was already feeling respect towards him being unable to run like normal people he still run with such determination. My demotivated mood faded. Later something shocking totally diminished my demotivated mood. I saw him stopped at the roadside and took off his artificial leg! OMG! I wanted to give him a thumbs up!

But I still keep my pace la. I didn't accelerate so that I have enough energy left to accelerate at the last 100m. It really worked! Throughout the run I didn't stop or walk except stopping for water at the drinking stations. Oh ya, and also when I still had 5 more km to run and my ankle hurt like hell, I stopped for some ointment for my legs from the first aid team. I didn't walk even when my ankle hurt. No, actually I couldn't walk! I wanted to give up. I wanted to walk to the end. But when I tried to walk my leg muscles were even more painful. So I kept my pace slow but in a jogging mode. And in the end I even managed to speed up at the last 100m until I reached the finishing line. It was 2 hours 50 mins showing on the electronic board. I felt an overwhelming satisfaction coz I didn't expect myself to finish this run. =) This same feeling from Singapore Standard Chartered 10km run came back to me again yesterday.

After the run I went to get the medal at the Dataran Merdeka. I went walking around to look for where to queue and bumped into my girls: GP, WY and SY! They said right before they saw me they were wondering where I was. Whoa.. I very long life lo. Hehe...

I left them to get the medal from the 21km counter. There, for the second time I saw my Korean class classmate whom I just met on Friday. We were assigned to the same group in the class so he looked familiar to me. I saw him once before the run but I didn't remember he was my classmate, just feel he looks familiar. Then second time I remember him already but I dun remember his name so I didn't call out. Then when I was queuing for the medal, I saw him again. o.O But I still dun remember his name. Then half way queuing I remember his name liao. His name is Alec. But he's no where to be seen already. lol..

Then hor.. After I took the medal and wanted to get my bag from Jeslie (a Raleigh friend who didn't run) only I realized that my handphone was in the bag. I totally had no idea how to get her. So I walked around the padang to look for her but to no avail. Then I met Hui Mei (another Raleigh friend who just finished 21km also) who also lost her friend. We decided to stand at the middle of the field hoping that our friends would see us when they walked pass. Hui Mei met her friend. I didn't have that luck. But I was lucky enough to bang into Alec again for the 4th time. o.O This time he saw me also and he went "Eh? You are... from the Korean class right?" And then we noded to each other and he went away.

After about 5 mins I was still standing there waiting for Jeslie to see me, planning whether I should ask a clown to make a balloon hat for me to wear so that she can see me easily. LoL. Then Alec passed by me again. Sweat.. 5th time. So I just smiled to him and said I'm waiting for my friend (coz I felt I looked like an idiot standing there doing nothing). Luckily Hui Mei was with me la. If not I look even more like an idiot. The 6th time I saw him, he passed by again, seeing me still waiting for friend he offered to lend me his phone to call Jeslie. But I dun remember her hp number. Very stupid one.. She helped me jaga my bag I actually can call my own phone one. Stupid.. (-.-)||

After a while Karen found me at the middle of the padang and CK (Hui Mei's bf. Also from Raleigh) came to find Hui Mei and told me he saw all the Raleigh people at the roadside including my bag keeper Jeslie. What luck that day couldn't find my bag keeper but met my girls, Karen, Hui Mei and Alec (6 times summore o.O). lol. So, standing in the middle of the field did work. =P

My bag keeper Jeslie jaga-ing my bag at the roadside while I was frantically looking for her at the padang. -.-

With Karen

And with the Raleighians who went for the run.

After the run I went back with Karen, showered and went for the next destination, sing k with Cheng Yee and the boys. Didn't get to sleep before went out. Sang until 5 something I came home, online a while only went out Pyramid for dinner with the girls again. Didn't get to sleep again. That's why in the ended I K.O.-ed in Kim Gary. Just took a nap for a while when the girls was discussing about how long they slept after the run. The first thing I came home was to throw myself into the bed. Damn tired...

Fell asleep in Kim Gary

-

Last night walked like robot in Pyramid. Damn wat-tat. This morning working also walked like robot. When I no longer walk like robot I wanna go for swimming. I miss swimming. =) Hate jogging.

I'm a second class fugly comedian

Here it is! The bamboo dance I mentioned in my previous post about my KK trip.

This is the video of me and Get Pei participating in the bamboo dance on stage in the seafood restaurant.

I look like monkey swinging my hands around when I failed to follow the beats. -.- I should cut that habit already.

-

Was totally too high last night when singing K with the girls. Could it be the caffeine in Coke? lol. Maybe it was Ming Jia. Hehe. Before I left the room with GP and WY, MJ took a photo of me over-posing:

Gosh! I can't imagine I did that! Actually it's suppose to look funny la.. not obscene if you get the joke. As the title said, I'm getting more like a comedian lately. It looked even more funny with the sensor thing MJ edited. Too bad this comedian look 10 times more fugly than it's supposed to be in every pose she acted. Gosh..

Had a 500m swim after work with Cheng Yee and Toh Theng. The indoor 3m deep pool was closed due to some UK school kids swimming competition earlier on. So we were left with one last choice which was the outdoor 1.2m deep pool.

It's very dirty with green cloudy water. But what to do... All of us feel like swimming today. So we just jumped in without second thought. The pool had around 30 people. I might be wrong. It could be more. It was a crowd in the pool regardless of the cloudiness of the water. The water was so cloudy we could not even see anything in the water! It was this insane. There was once when I was swimming freestyle, hardly looking forward (normally I can see the front view coz the water is clear) a big size guy was swimming towards me. We almost plunged onto each other head to head. Luckily both of us emergency braked. And then we stood face to face. Very awkward lo.

Another thing I'm not satisfied is that when all of us swim from one end to the other end of the pool, some people swam across the pool (Can I call it jayswimming? lol). Since the water is cloudy, whenever I wanted to swim to another end I had to keep poking my head out to watch whether there's anyone jayswimming to prevent myself from plunging into them.

Sigh. I miss the indoor pool coz:
1. First, it has the dividers, so sure no jayswimming.
2. Second, the water is crystal clear. You can ignore the negligeable dirt stuck to the ground coz it's too deep you can't even touch the ground unless you dive in.
3. Third, people swim there, not playing with water like those people in the outdoor pool blocking the way.. urgh..
4. Fourth, guys who swim there have good body. Keke. Seriously why swimmers body shape all so nice one le? Hmm... =P

That's why I prefer indoor pool.

Outdoor pool is RM2 per entry, indoor pool is RM3 per entry. See how 1 Ringgit can make such big difference.

The new swimsuit made my day

Bought a Speedo swimsuit which I had been watching since few weeks ago for only RM70 last night! But I seriously have no idea how to wear it without tearing the threads or breaking the stripes. Sigh. I duwan to break the swimsuit before I even have the chance to use it. Advices needed. lol..

-

Went to swim again today. With the new swimsuit. It's comfortable swimming with them. And I look nice wearing them too! Just that the wearing and taking off takes damn a lot of patience and time. And there's risk of breaking the stripes. -.-
Swimming always bring calm and serenity to me.
Another RM3. Another 1km. Another 45 minutes. As usual, steadier breaths after swim makes me feel so much healthier.

-

It's school holiday! Having lighter traffic and hence leaving home for work a bit later, I have no excuse to skip my jogging practice in the morning, do I? But I still can't get up slightly early for a jog. -.- My sleepy bug is way too stronger than me. =P

-

Sales and promotions are everywhere but all I can do is just stare at the nice clothes and shoes. Sigh. What to do. I have to save the money for my Korean class. Talking about Korean class, it's June now! Which means it's getting closer to the class commencement. =)

-

I scratched my car again...
This time when I was reverse parking. I've always been confident with my reverse parking skills. But last night, I was slightly dizzy and unwell. I didn't see the side mirror properly. I had a patch of white on my car now. Sigh. Heart pain ah..

-

Can't wait for this weekend to come. I've been waiting for IW since the beginning of this year. Finally it's coming soon. I know I will enjoy it. =)

-

It's either I've grown old and have no energy or I'm really that busy, I've spent more than two month to watch a Korean drama with only 25 episodes. And I'm yet to finish it. Still have half episode. lol.. Funny how I'm not as addictive as last time. But the problem is: Where did I spend my extra time not watching dramas? Self studying Korean language I guess. I've been spending 1 hour per day to learn Korean from a book.

-

So glad that Chen has finished his studies and can finally have some rest and go for vacation. I'm always the one who go here and there. Pity him having to work days and nights on FYP throughout the year. Hope he's having fun now. =)

-

Recently there are quite a lot of nice English songs. Kiss me through the phone by Soulja Boys. Mad by Neyo. Hatin' on the club by Rihanna. Poker Face by Lady Gaga.

But today I feel like sharing this music video, Halo by Beyonce.

-

All right. Have to sleep now. Else I'll have excuses for not waking up earlier for a jog tomorrow. Hehe..

Pusat Akuatic Darul Ehsan is the best swimming pool in Klang Valley?

Today went for dinner at Asia Cafe with WY and Aud before meeting up GP, Vincent and Yannie for KK trip photo exchanging. (Oops! This reminds me that I haven't see the pictures since I reached home till now! Ok Ok see tomorrow. =P)

Saw one newly opened Korean teppanyaki stall. Being a Koreanphilic, how can I miss the chance to try Korean food right? So I tried the Korean pork teppanyaki. Nice oh! The taugeh got some butter-ish and mayonaise-ish taste and the pork was just brilliant, tender to be chewed and nicely marinated.

Pork Teppanyaki (very very big plate!! Like those for pastas)

Half way eating the dinner, so unluckily it started to rain and we were sitting at the roofless area. So, we started to carry our things to the roofed area to look for empty seat. But so unluckily there's a big crowd in Asia Cafe today coz today got soccer match.

I was like a weirdo carrying the very big plate around and everyone was looking at me. -.- WY and Aud already finished their dinner so they just need to carry their drinks which was not as eye-catching. Dunno why I almost everyday have to do such embarrassing thing one. Ish..

In the end we tumpang-ed someone's table. lol.. Very awkward circumstance. After the dinner we went to Snowflake to transfer the pictures. I had red bean soup as dessert. The rest tried Snowflake bestseller (some combination of ice-blended cincau, sweet potatoes and yam). Didn't take photos this time (forgot.. hehe..)

We had a good laugh thanks to Yannie. lol. I laughed until my stomach hurts.

---------------------

Since I've already started on food I might as well bring them all up here. Hehe.

Last Saturday after sailing I went to have some pasta as dinner with Keen. At Restaurant Caff, Pizza, Grill, Pasta @ Bandar Puteri Puchong. This restaurant serves very nice Italian food. It's quite famous for its mushroom soup and its cozy environment. Malaysia Most Wanted Food and some bloggers also highly recommended it.

I had Aglio-Oglio Mushroom Spaghetti.

(Sorry la.. Too hungry already so I took a bite first only took the photo. Haha..)

Keen always orders this:

Turkey Ham Salad (if not mistaken) and mushroom soup!

The mushroom soup damn nice one! Next time if I crave for mushroom soup I know where to go already. Hehe.

----------------

Then last Sunday went shopping with Aud! We took our lunch at Canton-i Pyramid. I only took their dimsum coz I was not hungry. Coz I've eaten lunch after the Broga trek already. (Oops! Not yet blog about Broga! Tomorrow I will write about that)

Yam mini bun with melted egg yolk inside

The egg yolk was not as juicy as I thought it would be lo.. But it was ok ok la.

Charsiew pao also ok ok only. Haha.

-------------

We went for our lab manager birthday celebration this week during the lunch time at a Secret Recipe nearby.

I had black pepper grilled chicken rice with ice lemon tea (their promotion set). Then my sweet tooth ushered me to order one of my favourite Chocolate Indulgence cake. And I did. lol.

Shared with Cheng Yee. Her sweet tooth also likes Chocolate Indulgence. Hehe.

---------

Went swimming on Friday after work at a nearby aquatic centre - Pusat Akuatik Darul Ehsan (PADE), rated as the best swimming pool in Klang Valley by a blogger called Er Lang. Even better than Bukit Jalil's swimming pool? o.O

He rated:

1. National Aquatic Centre Bukit Jalil,NAC --------------3 stars

2.Pusat Akuatik Darul Ehsan, PADE--------------------4 stars

3. Pusat Sukan Negara Panasonic, PSNP---------------2 1/2 stars

This is the place where I always swim after work lo. Too shy to take photos of the swimming pool. =P So I'll just take other people's photos. hehe.

Standard Olympic swimming pool size. 50m length with depth of 4m.
(Photo courtesy of Majlis Bandaraya Shah Alam website)

Swam 1km almost non-stop. Felt the syokness and satisfaction after 2 months never swim. Muahaha! I feel refreshed even until now. =)

Gosh! This week had been so fulfilling for me. I'm so glad I had good foods and good swimming pool. =)

Clumsy

Just came back from my third endurance training (sort of): Swimming.

Very very tired now. I didn't count how many laps I swam coz too many people blocking the way or standing by the wall, so I only swam half way and turned back. I think I swam about 500 m or slightly more.

Actually I dun consider this as a proper endurance training coz normally if I wanna practice my stamina (just like how I practiced for my 300m test), I would swim non-stop 300 m or more. Last time normally I got breathless when I reached about 150m or 200m. My best stamina record was 1km non-stop. But now, around 100m I already feel breathless. Sigh.. I need more endurance training.

This weekend go back hometown I'm going to go jogging at the football field already.

Oh! Talking about going back hometown, I should start packing already! Gosh... my running shoes are still dirty with the Gunung Dato' soil. Dun care la. Just bring it back. Hehe. And oh, talking about packing, I wish I have a rucksack. =(

-----------

Talk about clumsiness, recently I'm really clumsy.

1. Yesterday I bought grocery which weighed about 10kg from Pyramid. I carried it all the way up to CP5. Although they have escalators, carrying those weights from Giant to the Orange Zone in new wing there can already break my arms. And I did look very clumsy. When I got off the car outside my house, I had to use my knee to close the car door. Dramas always happen to me.

2. Just now I almost chopped my feet coz the knife slipped off my hand and dropped right towards my feet. Luckily recently my response is very fast, I drawn away my feet before the knife dropped straight down onto my feet.

3. Last week I dropped the perfume Pei Err bought for me. Luckily the glass was very hard. It didn't break at all! Fuhhh...

4. When hiking last weekend, as usual I bang my head to some branches again. And slipped my ankle, right ankle this time. I'm gonna buy myself one more ankle stabiliser to prevent this from happening again. Sigh. That will cost me another RM40.

Maybe not enough sleep..

------------

One more recommendation on a Chinese artist-方大同. His songs are very R&B. Very relaxing. =) Although he looks nerdy but he writes good songs! Whenever I listen to his songs, I feel like I'm relaxing in a small windy hut by the beach listening to the waves...

My series of unfortunate events

"Yeay! It's weekend!" When I marched towards my car the sun shone weakly on me and dark clouds were hanging on the sky, meaning I had to swim indoor.

The road was free of traffic I wonder why. Maybe still early for traffic? I drove to the aquatic centre in Shah Alam and I chose indoor which is RM1 more expensive than outdoor pool. Just in case it rains. The corn in cup at the food stall beside the counter was very tempting and my stomach was growling. But I worried I might get appendicitis. So I went to swim empty stomach. And then the unfortunate events started from here.

The sticker bangle the counter gave me always slipped off from my hand when I swim last time. So, following the receptionist suggestion, the bangle is for entry purpose, I can throw it away after I went in. So, I throwed it into a dustbin and thought I was very bergaya. After 6 rounds (300m) I was too hungry and started to have gastric pain. And I felt dizzy when I was halfway swimming. Most of the time when I relax my body after every stroke I felt my limbs weaken ed and I wanted to just lay there in the water. I wanted to get out of the water, go out to the food stall and buy the corn in cup and come back to swim. But my bangle... Without it I think I can't come back to the pool. Sigh... Lesson of the day. Never ever throw something that you might need later. After 9 rounds, which was only 30 minutes after I entered the centre (including changing in toilet), I can't stand the pain from the gastric already.. Went out and bought the damn corn in cup. Wasted my RM3 =(

After the corn in cup I feel better and I planned to go Pyramid to have my proper dinner, buy some cookies for my aunt for Chinese New Year and some groceries. It was 7.20pm and the parking lot was full already. I saw quite a few people walking out from the exit but they always went to the different direction I'm heading to. I missed more than 5 chances! What bull's luck?! It took me freaking 30 minutes to turn around the parking lot to look for a freaking parking lot. And my petrol dropped by one bar. Grrr.... Wasted my petrol! And my hunger was back. The corn had done it's job. So, I gritted my teeth and grunted to a random space "Argh! So you want to see me die of hunger here?" And right after I frus-ed out my grunt, I found a parking lot right in front of my eyes. As if no one saw it, everyone just passed by the lot as if it is meant to be there, for me. Muahaha..

I dragged my wobbly legs to the mall towards Mc Donald's and hopped onto my dinner, finally! Before I realized, I was wearing a kinda-loose T-shirt with a baggy shorts and a pair of slippers that people only wear to beaches or night markets. And worse of all, I haven't combed my hair after changing in the aquatic centre! Bad habits. The funny thing was that when I was enjoying my meal, a lady came to ask for donation at my neighbouring tables, except me! Maybe because I was really dressed down for the mall. lol.. So in the end I didn't even care for my eating manner anymore (As if I have proper eating manner usually...duh..)

I bought the CNY cookies without any unfortunate circumstances. But grocery was too heavy to carry. It was a bad choice coming to Pyramid to buy grocery all by myself. Not getting a parking for more than 15 minutes was already a sign. But I didn't see it. And now I spent too much on the raw materials to make spaghetti. Rm13.80 for a pack of Parmesan cheese! Sigh.. I might as well use cheddar cheese and shred it. I don't think it would make any difference to our oriental tastebuds anyway. Too bad, too late.

Despite these unlucky events, I'm still in good mood! Hehe. Coz it's weekend! I've been counting down to a whole day nap since Tuesday. Finally I can rest my neck. =)

So tomorrow I'm gonna be a nocturnal animal which sleeps in daytime. But I'm a mutated one coz I'll be sleeping in both nighttime and daytime. Muahaha.. So, please do not disturb. Hehe.

Oh ya. By the way, just now when leaving Pyramid, I saw a guy who looks very alike Heng. I felt a pang in my heart. The pang weakened my limbs. My legs felt like mashed potatoes. I had the urge to run to him and ask him in surprise "Whoa! How come you're here?" But on second glance... No.. He looked a bit different. I think I'm destined to be bothered by Heng mentally. So I give in, at this moment (coz I dunno what's gonna happen next).

Photobucket couldn't upload my food photos. So I cant upload picture then. Gonna sleep until 2pm tomorrow. But normally I wake up at 7.30am on weekends. Hmm.. We'll see.

Bronze Medallion pictures

Yoohoo! Finally got the pictures taken during my Bronze Medallion exam from Hao Wei.

I like the ripple pattern of the water. =) And the water was blue and crystal clear!!

My cacat-ed freestyle. I like the splashing out moment of the water captured. My swimming coach is a great photographer.

Extended tow with aid

Carry weight from bottom of the pool

CPR exam

All girls =) Guys were forbidden in this picture. =P

Everyone with our life saving coach, Hao Wei

From the pictures I received I found that I look different in almost every photo and have many facial expressions. lol. Most of the time I look like a toad. =P Especially when my double chin showed up.

This is the combo I made from the photos showing my different facial expressions.

Mood level boosted!!

I love my job. I love my supervisor!

Hehe. She damn nice la. Never scold a single person in the lab. Sometimes when I make stupid mistakes she will just squeeze my arms softly, looks like wanna cekik me like that in joking manner, but tell me seriously to be more careful in my work next time. I'm so happy to have her as my supervisor. Becoz of her, I feel secured. But sometimes after I made mistakes I feel bad. Not only feel bad for myself, but also feel bad that I keep giving her trouble. Becoz of her, I have more urge to do my work perfectly. Hehe.

---------------------------------

It's been a long time since I swim. At first I wanted to take a break from swimming after the exam. Then after that when I feel like swimming already got period pula. Sienz.. Then after that when I feel like swimming Heng broke up with me so I took the time to cry instead of swimming. lol. Then finally I started to plan to train my swimming so that I can take the ILS (International Life Saving) exam. But, mum said this month better dun swim coz it's Chinese's ghost month. =( Sigh. So I can only start swimming next month. Hope my stamina can be regained back next month la. I miss swimming... =(

Randomness

Tomorrow. Will be my last life saving exam. Hopefully. And by tomorrow I will be given the Bronze Medallion Certificate from Life Saving Society of Malaysia (LSSM). =D

-----------------------

Bought a birthday present for a friend. The packaging box we bought from Living Cabin is very very cute. The box is only RM3.90 but quality is good and looks professional. Will post up the photo after I gave the present to her on Monday. Duwan to reveal the identity of this friend and the photo of the box before this. Duwan to dampen the surprise. =) I think she will be surprised to receive it coz it's our first birthday present for her after knowing her for so long. =P

-----------------------

Just set up a petrol saver system in my car engine. It is supposed to allow more complete combustion which thus will increase the efficiency of the engine and hence saving petrol. Hope it works. I did feel my car more powerful after setting up the system.

Random update yo =)

Yeay! I found a scuba diving expert to teach and guide me on how to do ear clearing (equalise the pressure) while diving. Will be setting a date for a training before my second half of Bronze Medallion exam. =) Hope it really helps. =)

-------------------------------------

Went to Wlliams for Puili's farewell last night with Keen and Yumin. And then we saw this William's logo.

The boss have pretty good sense of humour la if you know what I'm refering to. lol.

This is the 4th time I went to Williams but, still, I didn't take the pictures of the food. Sigh. Forgot again la. The only pictures with William's food is this photo from June 07.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Only traces of food left. All kena sapu already. lol..

-----------------------------

Had training alone at my place just now to get myself prepared for Irau. Damn sia sui one. lol. I filled around 2-2.5 liter of water and put the bottle in my backpack and I started climb up and down the stairs outside my house. Within 15 minutes I climbed 8 times (if say 1 round up and down 4 storeys is considered as 1 time la). Just 8 times only my sweat already rained from all the sweat glands on my body. I didn't exaggerate it. lol.

Planning to do it every day until Thursday, gradually increasing the weight from 2-2.5 L to 5.5L to 8.5L to 11.5L. Will see how la. Friday I should take a good rest. =) And then Saturday is the DAY! Yeay! Can't wait!

Ok. Better sleep early for better work performance tomorrow. =) Duwan the working out to affect my performance. Nights.

Happy Bronze Medallion =)

Finally! I passed all the towing tests for Bronze Medallion.

1. Throw an aid (a short rope) from poolside (on land) and land victim

2. 10m rope throwing and pull victim to poolside (the rope I throw was not very good. Senget a bit. but still considered within reach of victim. keke. But I really wanna improve on this. Hmm.. See when got chance I will practice myself)

3. Swim 20m tow 20m cross chest tow (both rescuer and victim with clothes on)

4. Swim 50m tow 50m with aid (the short rope). Time limit: 3 mins 15 secs. This time I manage to swim finish within 3 minutes =) Normally training only manage to do around 3 mins 10 secs like that only. Thanks to power gel. It really helped! I purposely took it right before this part since this part is the one that needs timing.

5. Rescue breaths: Swim 20m, dive in to take up bottle containing sand, pick up victim and tow to nearest contact point (the poolside), give rescue breath and then tow along the poolside and then give rescue breaths (for two more times) another 20m and then land victim.

6. Double restrain: Swim 50m tow 50m chin tow with victim struggling on instructor command. (this time the victim struggled more times then training time. Damn 'syok' la. Err. I mean shocked. lol)

I'm very satisfied with my performance today. No panting, no muscle cramps. Although got accidentally drink a bit water while towing a victim but managed to control it from choking me. And I didn't sink the victim at all! Yeay!

Today straight a way learn CPR and perform CPR test on the spot too =D So now I passed for the towing part and CPR part already. Yeay!

Will be having a 4m diving test and first aid test weeks later because today not enough time to do all the tests. I very scared the diving test lo. Coz yesterday went to Bangsar pool to try the depth. My ear drum started to feel painful when diving until 2m and the pain gradually build up when I keep diving in until I reach 4m. Before I reach the bottom (around 2 more kicks to reach the bottom), I feel my ear is like wanna burst already. Scary la. Then when I came back up I feel the ear pain transfer to headache at the sides and slowly spread to the whole head. But luckily it's just for a while. After that the pain all gone. But I really scared to dive la.

Any suggestions and knowledge to share with me on how to cope with this water pressure problem? Scuba divers, any advice? My instructor told me I can try slowly first by diving to 2m, let the ears get used to it, then to 3m let the ears get used to the depth then finally 4m and let them get used to it. Any say?

My instructors took the pictures and video of us doing every tow. So hopefully after I get the pictures from them I can post it up to show you all la. But hopefully those who cannot view my images can see the pictures by then la. Sigh. That's a problem I dunno how to solve. Some people cannot see the pictures in my blog (but they can see images in other blogspot blogs). Sad la. Dunno how to tackle this problem. Anyone, any clue?

Update: I just read up a scuba diving website regarding the water pressure problem on ear drums. It is said that using ear plug during diving is foolish as water pressure will force the plug in and it is not helping in releasing the pressure. And it said that if ignoring the pain and keep diving one might have dulled hearing or hearing loss! And it said that when you feel the pain in ear, the pressure is damaging the ear. And if this persists, the water will get into the ear and causes one to feel imbalance and dizzy and cannot differentiate between going up or down.

The proper way is to open up the eustachian tube. But I dunno how lo. Reading the explanation in words is so abstract and hard to imagine. I have no problem with equalising the pressure in planes coz I can yawn and then it will be gone. But when I'm underwater I cant open my mouth to yawn mah. So I din know what to do to equalise. I dunno how to equalise by swallowing saliva. That's the problem la. Sigh.

And the big problem is I have to be able to dive at least 2m to get the Bronze Medallion cert. =(

Irau confirmed!

Yeay! I'm going to Irau! The fairy tale mountain.

This will be my first mountain. Wish me luck! I hope I can cope with the temperature at night and hope the load that has to be carried up the mountain wont affect my stamina. All in all, I believe it will be a great trip coz great companion provides great atmosphere =)

But hor, I need rucksack desperately for the trip le. And I need a pair of shoes coz I spoiled my shoes in my company sports day more than a week ago. The most appropriate shoe to wear for trekking is Adidas Kampung. But I have no idea where I can get this shoes in Subang.

Rucksack -- as long as can put my sleeping bag, four 1.5L water bottles, mess tin and some of my belongings then can liao. No need too big one. (40-60 liter should be enough for girls right?) Anyone can lend me? I need it next weekend. I can buy myself next time but not so soon. Coz I duwan to simply buy just for the sake of going Irau. Scare later buy a too expensive one or not suitable one.

Adidas Kampung -- "all rubber construction and studs allow you to walk through mud and on slippery surfaces with little problem" quoted from this website. Perfect for slippery trails. Damn cheap one. Only RM5 per pair. But I dunno where I can get this around Subang area le. Anyone got idea?

-----------------------------

Oh. I need another wish of luck too! My Bronze Medallion exam is coming this Sunday! OMG. Wish me luck!! Hope I can beat the 100m 100s la. Until now also cannot beat it le. My best record stopped at 135 seconds and then my last record was 145 seconds. Sigh. Getting worse pula. I need more arm power for freestyle. I should start training everyday starting tomorrow.

Hope tomorrow can get at least 120 second for 100m.

Gotta go sleep early for better performance in tomorrow training. Nights!

My first powerbar

I think recently everyday is a fully-utilized day for me. Friday night I had my swimming training right after work, Saturday tuition and after that time to hang out with Zhuang and Mei, Sunday morning went to a debriefing training with Raleigh folks and then afternoon having some time to rest for tonight's swimming training. Am supposed to treat my arms with counterpain before the training tonight and gain some sleep from the previous insufficient sleeps to boost energy for tonight's training.

See what I bought just now? Haha. A very small by its size but a very costly dinner. Powerbar and powergel. RM14 total.

Tonight I am suppose to eat the Powerbar 1 hour before the training as my dinner as recommended by HaoWee to test on the efficiency of that bar on my energy level and my performance so that we got used to it during our exam.

Powergel is a back-up during the training just in case I need some turbo for the 100m. Hehe. But the Guardian only had one last pack of powergel and its flavour is raspberry. Ewww. I think I will prefer tangerin. Sigh. Nevermind, I will try to slurp down everything without tasting it (or without making myself to feel nausea by the taste. lol).

--------------------------------------

Back to the fully-utilized day saying. I requested my bro for a meet up someday just now. Both of us are very busy and cannot find time for each other.

I was missing my brother very dearly today. And the more I think of him the more I feel sorry for being a bad sister who did nothing to maintain (or improve) the bonding between us. I realized that for all these years in KL I had been meeting my friends and acquantance but my bro.

I admire how Heng's sister maintain the bond so well with her brothers despite the long distance. I feel ashamed as an elder sister. A lousy one. Sigh. I think the problem is me la. For being too immatured to lead my bro through his growing process. He was the one who led me through the childhood. Being a loner is another thing. I was very introvert when I was young and find myself more comfortable doing stuffs alone. So, I guess I sent some unseen signal telling everyone to back off from me and leave me alone. Was not a very friendly person back in those days. lol. And as a big sister I think I din do well in protecting my bro enough la, in the sense of deciding things, teaching him something I know, cover up for him when he's in trouble. I was an ignorant loner. Now I hate my young self. How I wish I can go back and change everything but what had not been done hadn't been. So what I can do is just to grief the past and move on with what I have now. But the saddest comment I heard from Heng was that "it's too late to bond already coz both of you are so old already now". Sigh. I wish otherwise.

Will try to put more faith in myself to achieve this big goal. To stitch back the gaps. And what says the Law of Attraction? That anything you believe in and strive towards will be yours. I think there's chances la. Good ones =)

Wah. So long never write sentimental post already. I feel so insecured to pour it out here but nevermind la. Not the whole world is going to read my blog anyway. Hehe. =)

Bronze Medallion Awaits me next Sun!!

The big day is on 29 June which is next Sunday!! It's the Bronze Medallion exam I had been waiting for. The cert and medal awaits. Muahaha. 11 days countdown to the day. OMG! I have to start training every day now. Either train myself or with my swim partner.

I mean it. Swim around 1-2 hours a day now so that I can make the 100m 100s part. This is for the international cert from Belgium. Actually normal Bronze Medallion dun need this part one. But I want to challenge the challenging one. =)

And isn't it more meaningful to get an international cert? So that I can be life guard every country I go (if I really have the chance to go other countries). Yea. About life guard. I'm looking for lubang to become life guard now. Anyone got a clue? After heard Alvin Teo from IW recce told me about his friend working as a life guard on weekend in a club swimming pool I was thrilled. I really want to get a chance to apply my knowledge la, seriously.

And I cant wait to go Bukit Jalil swimming pool tomorrow! Yeay! Coz I heard Poovan said it's deep, more than 2 meter deep. I can't wait to have a more real experience in training my life saving skills. Cant wait cant wait. =)

Ok la.. Gotta go training now. Ciao!

p/s: Too bad I have no water resistant digital watch. So I cant time my 100m 100s myself.

Update: Bronze Medallion exam postponed to 13 July. Good good. More time for me to practice 100m =D

Was reading Nicole's new post. It brought me tears and heartache (eh. serious one, it really hurts). And my heart feel very heavy. How can such Cambodians endured such cruelty back then? So sad...

------

Just read paper today and found that Clinton's out and go to support Obama pula. Maybe this is the best resolution for her. Maybe she knows that she will lose. So the best resolution is to support the potential winner, help him to win and then she can become vice president. Clever tactic.

-----

Heard from Poovan that Bukit Jalil got a very nice and deep swimming pool (about 2 meters deep). Makes me feel like going there and have a swim. Hehe. Entry fee is RM5 if I'm not wrong and free on Friday but only free for a few session.

Just random

An update on my life saving training:

(1) 300 m within 9 minutes ok as usual
(2) Swim 50m extended-tow 50m finished in 3 mins and 14 seconds (1 more second slower then I'm screwed), hmm.. need more practice on this.
(3) Swim 25m crosschest-tow 25m with clothes on still ok.
(4) Double restrain failed at first restrain (sink and panic when victim struggle. Can't maintain victim head's above the water when victim is struggling)
(5) Swim, chin-tow and blow air x 3 failed at transfering victim's head (leg can stand on the ground or the side of the pool while transfering)
(6) Throw rope sometimes ok sometimes not.
(7) Learn new thing on how to loosen the victim's grip in water (3 types: 2 types of hand grips and bear hug from behind)
(8) Didn't practice on pulling victim out of pool, recovery position, 100m in 100s, underwater 25m, jump water technique, bandages.

++++++++++++++++++++++++

Finally bought sleeping bag and mess tin for IW camp. Last time I borrowed sleeping bag from my brother. But when I wanted to borrow from him this time he suggested me to buy one for myself since I like outings so much. Hehe. He's right. So I get myself my own sleeping bag. =) I bought the cheapest one. Only RM19.90. Hahaha. Then I realised that the sleeping bag can be zipped open and become an extra tilam. Somemore it's quite big when it's spread out. About queen size. Haha. I earned one extra tilam. =D Mess tin costs more than what I expected. RM18.90 for 2 mess tins. I thought around RM7 each le. Why so expensive one...

I still can't wait to go IW =D

+++++++++++++++++++

Arranged time for my students for substitution of next week cancellation. But I think cancellation of tuition class will happen again because

(1) my new job is demanding, might have to work on Saturday
(2) I might join other Raleigh activities
(3) I might teach swimming after I got my life saving cert

For me, teaching chemistry is not for the money already now. It's about the responsibility towards my students' results. I want them do good. But it's also the responsibility that brings me the stress and sometimes I find myself dunno how I should teach them to ensure they absorb the most out of it. Sigh. That's why I always dread to give tuition nowadays. It's stressful. Any tips Val?

Instead of buying clothes for myself in the Padini Concept store sales, I bought one more T-shirt for Heng yesterday. Last time wanted to buy the T-shirt one. But then no size. Then now Padini sales they sell the T-shirt at RM14.50, somemore with the size I want. What the hell. I bought another T-shirt (same category one) last time at RM25 le. Should have waited until sales. I didn't know it was new arrival back then.

So in conclusion I bought this T-shirt for Heng. Hope he likes it. =)
