Happy Merdeka weekend =)

Am writing this post with my aunt's PC now. Hehe. I stayed at my aunt's place right after giving tuition yesterday.
It's been really long since I stayed over at my aunt's. I had a great time having some girl's talk with Zhuang the whole last night. I remember the last time we talked like this was when we were still in school. Really love the moments we had last night. And it was really sweet when Zhuang didn't want to let me go when I told her that it's late we should sleep. Hehe. It's funny how two persons kept yawning but refuse to stop talking. We had so much to share with each other! I just realized last night how much I had missed her.

Today we spent a lot of time watching Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice Marathon the whole morning and night. And I think I'm starting to like their sense of humor. Especially when it is not that heavy to watch despite being a series about doctors life. I think this series has more gossips than serious stuff. Keke. Can help cheer up the day a bit. Hmm.. Maybe I should start to watch the first season.

My aunt made some white lotus mooncakes today.

Mooncakes just molded, yet to be baked.

Yummy!

I had a hot sizzling mooncake just taken out from oven. The outer layer was crusty and the lotus paste was jelly-like. Yummy! Tomorrow the mooncake outer layer will be softer and the lotus paste harder. Both texture are great. But I think I will prefer the 'incubated' overnight one. Wrong word. Incubate is for bacteria. Haha. But so what, I work in lab. Please allow me to violate this word in daily life. =P

Of so many mistakes I've made, this is the biggest, the most careless, the most should-not-be-careless careless mistake. I'm so frustrated with myself! Argh!!!

Please tell me that it is going to be okay. Pleeaassee...

Cooking fun!

Me and Audrey had been discussing about our unhealthy meals these pass few months. But we din do anything about it. Then, few weeks ago I went to pasar malam to get spoon and fork. The vegetables there attracted me coz they were very fresh and cheap. So I bought a white radish.

Few days later I cooked white radish soup and share with Audrey. She even brought it to uni the next day for dinner. I suddenly gain some interest on cooking when I saw the smile lit on Audrey's face and when she exclaimed happily that she finally has a proper meal after so long.

So, I cooked again yesterday. This time fried meehoon with French beans and sausages for dinner. Put too much water already until the meehoon all broken into 1cm long each. lol. But the taste was ok. I added up bayam soup as side dish too. Audrey brought the meehoon to uni as lunch today too.

And today, I cooked pasta with sausages. But too bad it's either my scale was wrong or I over-cooked it until the pasta all stuck to the base of the rice cooker, the portion was pretty small. Luckily Audrey cooked me some redbean paos. Hehe. Then very fulled up already.

Hmm.. With the French beans, eggs and sausages in the fridge, I can only think of fried egg with beans and sausages. But, too bad, rice cooker cannot fry eggs. Sigh. What else to cook ah? Any suggestion?

Yawn... It's 11.49pm already! Already 49 minutes pass the time I have to sleep. I gotta go sleep now. Nights.

80s TVB drama theme songs

Last night when I was coming back from CP birthday celebration with the girls, I heard the old 80s TVB drama theme song -- 射雕英雄傳之铁血丹心 from My FM.

It brought nostalgic feelings to me. I dun remember this drama, but I still remember the song.

After listening to this song, I suddenly feel like korek back all the songs I like from those old TVB drama in the 80s. It looks like I watched it when I was still a toddle. lol. Nolah. I guess I watched the repeated ones. I think not all people same age as me will know these dramas. lol. Coz it's around 1988 productions.

当代男儿:

一生何求:

These are the ones that I still remember. And I like the tunes too. =)

Started a project last Monday which should take around 2 weeks long.

These 3 days work until 7pm. Very tired. Every day come back already 8pm. Very very tired. Oh, did I just said that?

Quite happy that this unhealthy cycle is going to end soon. =P Coz finally this project is finishing soon. Yeay!

Pixar Presto short film

Yeay! I've found the Pixar short film shown in theater before Wall-E! Of all the short films I prefer this the most. =) Cant stop laughing when I saw this. Take a look. =)

Oh. By the way, Wall E is a great movie. This movie really shows how Pixar is improving in their technology in presenting their characters. But the storyline is somehow too simple and hence not very logic. For example, if the earth is really that toxic until human could not live on 700 years ago, then how can the humans from outer space come back 700 years later (without the body immune system against the toxins) and not get intoxicated? But it is just an animation for kids. So, I guess storyline as such is more suitable for the kids to absorb I guess.

But if you are curious how robots dating looks like. Then go watch. Hehehe.. Nolah. Wall-E and Eva are very adorable =D They makes me went "Awww.. So cute!" during the movie.

Updates

I was supposed to post about the yamcha and meet up with the girls one. Forgot. Hehe.

Went Pyramid with Aud and Get Pei to watch Batman few days ago. But we watched The Mummy instead. It was a funny movie la. I won't say it's a good movie. Coz Michelle Yeoh speaks English with her own daughter. Very weird. Coz both of them are acting as Chinese in the movie. Aren't they supposed to communicate in their own language?

Then we bumped into Shi Yun and Hin Kian after the movie. So, we went to yamcha at the Mamak in USJ17. =)

Roti tissue. Very very the long. lol. Need 3 plates to serve the roti. The roti is coated with sugar. I can use 4 words to describe this roti. Crunchy, thin, sweet and messy.

-------------------------------------

Then Wednesday went to meet Woan Yng at Pyramid coz she had training nearby on that day.

Dunno what happen to me that day. I bought chocolate-coated marshmallows. Just feel like eating something sweet to make myself feel better.

Get Pei took a photo of me posing with the marshmallow.

Very nice Korean Restaurant in Pyramid.

Woan Yng din wanna pose for me. Sob sob.

Get Pei looks matured with her specs.

Oh my goodness. Who is this? Very wat-tat look. Haha. A "fatt hao" pose requested by Woan Yng. Doesn't look like fatt hao at all.

-----------------------------

Met up Maui last Friday. He was trying to console me, but he said so many nice things about Heng until I miss Heng again. Sigh. Dunno how Heng is doing now....

After eating dinner at KimGary, I went to buy bro's birthday present. Got him a cap at Wild Channel. =)

The cap looks so well-designed that I cant take it off from my head. Heehee.

---------------------------

Yesterday after my tuition, I went to Pyramid wanted to buy the multipurpose cooker to replace the spoiled multipurpose cooker at home. Coz I saw one very cheap Pensonic cooker at RM90 only! Somemore got two compartments, top and bottom. Top part is for steaming bottom for stir-frying and frying. The main purpose of buying a multipurpose cooker is because rice cooker cannot fry eggs.

But I forgot to buy the cooker. I went shopping for bag and slipper instead. Gosh. Sometimes I hate myself.

But considered reasonable la. Coz the bag I always bring to almost everywhere is broken, and the slipper I always wear also broken. So I bought a bag from those chapalang stalls at RM59.90 and a pair of slippers in Vincci at RM20 (RM30% discounted!! =P).

But in the progress of buying bag and slipper, I bought a shorts in Padini at RM44.50 (50% discount) Hmmm.. Blame the MegaSales la. hehehe..

And I bought a 31 x 31 cm box in MiniToons at RM12.90. I always wanted to get a box to put my soft toys so that they no need to lie everywhere on the floor in my room. =)

My total spending on these things: RM137.30!!

Law of attraction

I've heard and read about Law of attraction again and again with doubts. Law of attraction explains that our minds can actually attract what we are always thinking. Whatever you believe in, you will get it. And whatever you are worried about most of the time, you will get it also even though you dun want it to happen.

The law of attraction teaches us to think of the things you want in your life, your work life, your living condition, health condition, relationship and yada yada and those things will come to you. Dun think of the things you dun want. Coz if you spend too much time thinking about the bad things, those bad things will come to you as well.

Recently I have been applying the law of attraction in my daily life. For about a month already. Since it's free and it just need some determination, I gave myself a try. I would say it really works. Although not in everything. But I think most of the time it works!

At first I drove to Asia Cafe to buy dinner I always cannot find a parking near the cafe. I will have to go round and round and in the end park somewhere very far from the cafe which I had to walk quite a distance to the cafe.

After that I started to experiment with Audrey while looking for parking in Pyramid. Both of us set our mind in believing that we will have a parking at the area beside the elevator at CP5 level. How specific! That area only got around 20 parking spaces.

(1) The first time we tried, there was a space waiting for us there, right beside the entrance of the mall at CP5. We were thrilled! So we try it every time we go to Pyramid.
(2) The second time we tried, there wasn't any space. But, we believe in it so much that we decided to wait at that area. Within 2 minutes, a family came out from the mall and drove away their car!
(3) Then the third time, there was a car coming out from the slot the moment we reached that area. And when we parked into that slot, the car next to us left also! How powerful! And take note that since then every time we go Pyramid we WILL get a parking slot at CP5 area near the elevator.

So, since it really can work, recently, I've applied this habit of praying for parking slot whenever I drive to Asia Cafe because that place very hard to find parking one. Since the day I started to apply this law, about 8 in 10 times I got a parking right in front of Asia Cafe! The 2 in 10 times I got a parking one road away from the Asia Cafe, but I need to go round once only to get this parking.

Then last Friday when I went to my aunt's place to watch Olympics opening, I told my aunt about this and my aunt jokingly asked me to pray for her 4D then. I think about it for a while that she WILL win and continue watching the opening. After that I totally forgot about it. Then I was told just now that my aunt won consolation prize! At least something right?

Last week, I started to try on traffic lights. I make myself believe that the light will turn green when I reach there, so I dun need to stop. But this one still not successful yet la. Only 6 in 10 times can work. Still not high chance enough. Maybe my power on this still not enough. =P Need more practice.

Ah!! Why I never thought of believing I will get extra money one ah? Maybe one day I can win big prizes. Kekeke..

Mood level boosted!!

I love my job. I love my supervisor!

Hehe. She damn nice la. Never scold a single person in the lab. Sometimes when I make stupid mistakes she will just squeeze my arms softly, looks like wanna cekik me like that in joking manner, but tell me seriously to be more careful in my work next time. I'm so happy to have her as my supervisor. Becoz of her, I feel secured. But sometimes after I made mistakes I feel bad. Not only feel bad for myself, but also feel bad that I keep giving her trouble. Becoz of her, I have more urge to do my work perfectly. Hehe.

---------------------------------

It's been a long time since I swim. At first I wanted to take a break from swimming after the exam. Then after that when I feel like swimming already got period pula. Sienz.. Then after that when I feel like swimming Heng broke up with me so I took the time to cry instead of swimming. lol. Then finally I started to plan to train my swimming so that I can take the ILS (International Life Saving) exam. But, mum said this month better dun swim coz it's Chinese's ghost month. =( Sigh. So I can only start swimming next month. Hope my stamina can be regained back next month la. I miss swimming... =(

Olympic opening ceremony

I just came back from watching opening ceremony of 29th Olympics in my aunt's house.

China did excellent in the opening ceremony!

I like the starting part during the counting down to 8.08pm. They simulate a digital clock ticking down to zero, but it's all done by human! Can you believe that?

And I like the part where the fireworks looks like footsteps of a giant marching towards the Bird's Nest Stadium.

And, I like the part where a lot of drummers performing in synchrony. Summore the drum can light on when they touch it. It looks really beautiful in the dark.

And the part where people performing taichi and kungfu in synchrony.

And the part where the people are tied from a globe and walk on the globe as if it is free from the gravity forces.

And the song of "you and me" sang by the two singers standing on the globe. The song was very beautiful, presenting serenity and peace.

And the last part where the torch was passed. The last person who took the torch suddenly 'fly' up like a superman and started running beside the STADIUM ROOF as if he's running on a running track with the torch in his hand. Then he lighted the giant torch from a string about 10 meters from the torch. The fire spread like explosion to the giant torch. Very nicely planned. =) I like the running in the sky part. Very creative.

I miss the bubble tea in Sunway College. =( It's very different from those sold outside. The tea flavour is very strong thus counteracting the milky taste. I like!

Every time going back from work I have the urge to drive to Sunway to get one. But too bad, there are 3 reasons I can't go Sunway College:

(1) I'm no longer a Sunway student since 2003
(2) Monash has shifted and separated from Sunway. So I cannot use the name of a Monash alumni to get in Sunway campus
(3) By the time I reach there the stall is already close

--------------------------------

Sometimes when driving, I cannot tahan those motorcyclist who ride at the middle of the road.

I thought they are supposed to ride near the lines of the road?

They are like blocking car's way when they are riding at the middle of the road. If they ride fast it's ok la. Problem is most of the motor ride very slow, summore wanna block the way. Ish! Geram....

-------------------------------

Dunno is it my tilam problem or my sitting position when using the PC at home, I have frequent back pain recently since before Gunung Irau, then after Irau the pain disappeared a while and it came back again now.

Sigh. What's the problem le? Why last time dun have such problem one? Only these few months started to have this back pain. But when I cut down the time sitting in front of the computer I feel better the next day. But why last time I have no problem even if I sit long hours in front of the computer?

No idea. It's either I get a proper desk and chair for me to sit (currently doing Japanese style, sitting on the floor while using my computer) or get a better bed.

Food Food Food!

Very long time never update already. Paiseh. Hehe.

Last last Friday went to Pyramid just wanna get some dinner with Audrey. While waiting for Audrey in Pyramid I heard loud musics outside. So I just follow the music and saw this:

Hop2daBeat competition

The environment was well heated up. Good job Inti College!

I enjoyed the cool dance moves, cool beats, cool MCs, cool judges.

The famous handsome Jien was there!! This was the first time I saw his real person!! But only saw the side of his face.

Then after that went to meet up Aud. And we bumped into CP and her boyfriend. lol. So we makan together lo. On CP's request, we went to Zanmai Sushi.

Saw AhYam with his girlfriend again for the 'N'th time in Pyramid already. It's not that I care or mind but I think he and his girlfriend is really a good match la. One handsome one pretty. hehe.

Ordered and shared salmon sashimi with Audrey. My favourite! Especially when it is dipped with salty shoyu. =) And the radish dipped with sweet shoyu is also nice!

-------------------------------------

I talked about the mysterious present for someone right? Hehe.

It's for New

Cute right? The package. Cheap but classy. From Living Cabin. Only RM4.50. No need to get expensive box from Memory Lanes. Hehe.

------------------------------------

Oh. And last Sunday I had my Part B Life Saving exam at Bangsar swimming pool in the sports centre. It was 4m deep. Luckily the syllabus says we only need to dive in 1.8m to pass the exam. My eardrum still restricts me from diving to 4m depth. I managed to dive 3m though. Enough for the exam already. hehe. And we learned a lot of bandaging techniques for wounds and bone dislocation, from palm, to hand, shoulder, chest, head, knee and foot. Hope I will remember every bandage la. Hehe. Coz it was quite a crash course.

One girl didn't make it for the towing part. She couldn't finish the swim 50m tow 50m within 3 mins 15 secs. She din pass the exam. Dunno whether she will try again next time or not. Hmm..

After we came back from Bangsar, we passed by this stall beside the road in Sri Petaling, selling cendol and rojak. Cendol! My favourite!

I never say no to roadside stall cendols. hehe.

But too bad my tastebud was affected by my flu and couldn't really taste the cendol. Next time I'll go try the cendol pulut. I think it will taste nice.

Ahhh~~ Childhood nostalgia. Brings back my childhood memories of my dad bringing me to this small Indian stall and ordered cendol pulut, each of us took a small bowl. Yum! My dad had a big influence on my eating habit. First, cendol. Second, Teh-O-ice. =P I can't live without these.

-------------------------------------

Last Friday was Wan Chin's last day. We went to Nando's at Subang Parade as a farewell celebration for her.

Nando's icon. The peri-peri chili.

I always order this combo whenever I come to Nandos. The fresco salad is a must. It blends well with the garlic sauce. Yum! Then I either choose corn or chips. Corns can blend well with the garlic sauce too! =D But sometimes when I'm lazy to cut the corn then I will order chips. =P

I dun have the group photos with me. It's all in Wan Chin's camera.

-------------------------------------

Yesterday went to PC fair with CY and her boyfriend. I bought a LiteOn DVD writer for desktop which only cost RM78 (IDE type is RM78, Sata type is RM86). And help Audrey to buy LiteOn external DVD writer for laptop which cost RM199.

After the PC fair CY and her boyfriend brought me to Petaling Street to have a taste on the good food there. I chose asam laksa. hehe. Coz when I passed by the stall the asam smell already lurked my tastebud. Saliva almost dripped out. Hehe.

Asam laksa served with fish. The soup very tasty. It has sufficient sour and spicy taste. Not too over not too diluted. Ngam ngam the sour and spiciness. This can be considered the top 3 asam laksa I tasted so far. Another 2 more are from my aunt (vegetarian asam laksa. Taste nice with the help of magic of serai) and another from the one in Penang Gurney Drive.

The stall. I dunno the name of the stall. Hehe. It's in Petaling Street itself.

The tables and stools.

This shop is posted here on CY's request. Hehe. It's CY's bf's parents shop in a building near the Petaling Street.

------------------------------------

I know this post is really random la. But sometimes no time to write blog ma. Hehe. So jumble up all together lo.

I have a curtain crisis right now!!

The hole is getting bigger and bigger coz the cloth is already fragile. Everytime I open it it got teared up a bit. Sigh. Close curtain also no use.

I desperately need a curtain. =P

Maybe will try to stitch it back first before I get a new one. lol. But am very sure it will get teared up somewhere else. Haha.

-----------------------------------

Yesterday downloaded an online game called HighStreet5.

It's pretty new I think. Tried the game last night. Was pretty tough for me coz I have clumsy fingers. Bad with pianos, keyboard, guitar and the list goes on. Haha.

You can customize your own character. Name, zodiac, height, length of arm and leg, and head, chest, hips and shoulder size.

I go play now lo. Ciao! =P
