Fluteboxing?

I better get ready for the KK trip now coz I'm still not sure which bag I should bring up the mountain. Still wondering whether my small bag pack can fit everything.

Anyways, gonna list down the things I want to bring here:

-head torch
-first aid kit (include mountain sickness pills and oxyplus)
-thin jacket
-thick jacket
-beanie
-gloves
-socks (must remember to bring this!!)
-slippers
-extra shoes? (no need gua...not enough place to put in my bag le.. )
-instant noodle (cup)
-cloud 9
-power bar, power gel
-water bottle
-face towel
-toothbrush
-clothes sufficient for 6 days
-long pants
-counterpain (dunno where I placed it already, can't find it.. argh....)
-camera and charger
-handphone charger
-long john (borrow from woan yng)

I guess that's all, right?

------------

Saw a video on some beatboxing on Facebook just now.

I enjoy watching people beatbox (minus the imagination of the saliva and the poor smelly microphone). Some can create more than one sound at the same time.

But it's my first time seeing people beatbox using a flute! The first thing in my mind was "Whoa.. Something new from a boring flute!"

This is one of the performance by Nathan Lee. It's super amazing!

-------------

Have to add one more video mum recommended.

I've heard her names many times before this but I have never search for her videos. Her voice is brilliant! See the facial expressions of the judges and audiences before and after she sang. Simon looked touched and warmed (see 2:24). Her voice can warm people in a very special way.

Save Our Waterfalls 2

Went to "Save Our Waterfalls" campaign yesterday.

Didn't know it was gonna be that grand. Almost 200 people joined. Jabatan Perhutanan Awan, Jabatan Bomba & Penyelamat, Jabatan Pertahanan Awam and an ambulance were standbying at the base when we reached there. Music was blasting. MC was giving speeches. Medias like NTV7, TV3 and Utusan were there.

President (Joe Yap) being interviewed by NTV7

The crowd was big, ranged from kids to old folks. Breakfast, lunch and tea break were served. Free mineral water too.

Stretching the muscles before going for a walk

There were 4 categories to be chosen by the public to involve in:
A - Have to climb around 1 hour plus to the top of the waterfall and start picking rubbish from there down the hill. This category got A1-A4 (if not mistaken)
B - Climb to the middle and start picking around the area. This category also got a few sub-category la. But i dun remember got how many already.
C - Start picking near the base area
D - Sort out the rubbish

At first I wanted to choose A2 coz the organizers say A1 very tough. I scare I cannot make it and bring trouble to the organizers. But Soon insisted wanna join A1. Then I terpaksa la have to choose A1. Turned out A1 was even easier than Saga trek. -_- Luckily I didn't choose A2, later sure regret.

So we trekked up the hill and started picking up rubbish at the top.

Everyone busy picking up rubbish

After picking up rubbish A1 and A2 team took a picture at the top

Then going down have to pass down all the rubbish by human chain. We need a very very long human chain to pass down 3 tonnes of rubbish. Yes. We collected roughly 3 tonnes of rubbish that day.

Bomba also helped passing down the rubbish. =)

Sometimes during the passing down the rubbish process, the rubbish bag would tear and we had to change the rubbish bag. It took a lot of hard work..

And it ended with a group photo after we got the rubbish down at the base and had our lunch and goodies bags.

The group photos of everyone. The participants and organizers.

Save Our Waterfalls

I'm going to do something really different this weekend!

Instead of trekking, I'm gonna clean up a waterfall. =)

(click for larger image)

Last time went to Kanching twice (one was recce before going for a picnic, one was the picnic). Coz the waterfall was commercialized, pavements and bridges were built, pools too. Many people go there to picnic and throw all the leftover there. Some even bring shampoo to shower there. Sigh.. Dun they know that usage of shampoos in river is restricted? It will kill the fish downstream.. Sigh..

The culture of just leaving the leftovers like that after having the meal. [Shakes head]

This spot is the most dirtiest spot in Kanching. Cannot see clearly from here. But you might be able to see stuff like plastic bags and polystyrene floating on the water at the very left of the picture.

It was really dirty. During the recce I walked around picking up the plastic bags "abandoned" beside the pavements while walking up the hill. But one person is not enough to do all the cleaning. Especially those rubbish stuck in the stagnant water which need some nets and sticks.

This Sunday, I'm gonna make this waterfall glitter in cleanliness. Hehe.. And gonna meet new faces there too! Can't wait to meet people who have the same cause with me. =D

But I think prevention is always better than cure. I hope one day the public will understand the importance of keeping the nature clean. As long as we always remember the rules:

"Leave only footsteps, take only photographs"

If everyone follow this rule, I believe the nature will always be well sustained!

Love love love this song from a Korean drama, Painter of the Wind! This singer has very unique voice. Very soft but thick. Aiya.. Dunno how to describe la.. Very nice lo. After hear his voice I feel as if I'm melting. lol.

I'm back!

Wuu Huu! It's been really really long (2 weeks?) since I last blogged. Coz dunno what to blog la. Everyday do the same thing, i.e. watch Korean drama.

But on second thoughts, I did something different last week indeed. I woke up earlier than usual in the morning and jogged for 7 rounds in the taman near my house which took me around 20 minutes and some sweat. The jog made me more refreshed at work as compared with last time sleep until the last minute. Hehe. Eyes also can open bigger. Haha. I felt I have 101% energy for work and am very keen to work.

Then last Saturday went to Raleigh monthly meeting at Lepuk Waterfall near Hulu Langat.

Carried two watermelons up with Soon, each of us took one and each watermelon weighed about 8kg. It was the most memorable training I had. Coz the watermelon was damn heavy to carry la. Plus it slowed down my usual trekking pace, especially when crawling over tree trunks. Quite similar to the demoralizing feeling from trekking Angsi. Summore we had to keep up with the time to reach the waterfall coz everyone was there already.

I like this photo by Jason. Very artistic.

We had to reach there before everyone leave the waterfall. So we kept pushing ourselves forward. No, we didn't run. Not with the watermelons on our backs. We trekked slowly one step at a time but restricted the resting time. It was so tiring until we didn't have the energy to take photo of us carrying the watermelon.

It was 1 and half hours later when we reached the waterfall and met the Raleigh people there. When we put down the bags containing the watermelon, we felt so light as if we can float in the air! It was one of my toughest training I had. But I was thrilled and satisfied with my stamina. =)

Kampung kids had fun at the river. Another nice plot by Jason Jee. But too bad the photo too small. Cannot see properly.

Quite a lot of dragonflies when trekking towards the waterfall. Another nice shot by Jason.

When I was at the waterfall, I just washed my hair, face and limbs with the ice-cold water to prevent the sweat bees from buzzing around my head and body. Kena stung by them once already, really scared of them.

Sweat bees feasting on the sweat

Didn't jump into the water that day. All I did was eating the macaroni and mashed potato cooked by Christal. Hehe. I think I finished the whole mess tin of both of these food. This is the most bloated trek I had. lol. Normally when I trek I will have to fill my stomach with chocolate bars but this time, trekking down from waterfall need no chocolate bars at all. Muahaha..

This was the fate of the poor watermelons at the waterfall:

Slide down the waterfall. One of the watermelons was broken. lol..

Chill it in waterfall water

Got carried around

Then only can open to eat. lol.

Everyone have different ways to enjoy the waterfall.

Some jumped

Some glided

Poser.. haha

Memang poser..lol

Some stood around

[All the photos above were taken by Angeline, Jason Jee and Emey Hoong]

Then we went to Ampang look-up point for a tea break after the trek. The look up point has great view! From the restaurant we can see the whole KL city! Duh.. That's what look up points are for what... lol. The three Finland angmo lengchais also followed along. Keke.. And I was so fortunate to take picture with them, thanks to Marble Soon. =P So shallow-minded. lol.

The trek had not pose the effect on me yet that night. I went shopping with Audrey as promised. Still no pain. But when I woke up the next morning. The pain crept in. Leg muscles and arms muscles, too. But I still went for the Saga trek that Sunday for a light trek. Felt slight muscle pain but still tolerable. What's surprising was that the muscle pain disappeared few hours after the trek! I only felt very very sleepy. lol. Trekked continuously for two days of course tired la. =) But I can conclude from these trek that my stamina had improved. Hope it stays that way until KK trek. =)

Saga trek

Photos from Saga + Ah Pek hill hike with Marble Soon on Saturday

Started from Track A towards Saga peak. Starting that part very steep. Start hiking already feel out of breath. Had my first rest after 2 minutes hike. lol.. But luckily the trek was quite short. Took only 24 minutes to reach the peak. Wondering why the timing is so accurate le? Coz Marble Soon timed for me ma.. It's for training purpose.

Peak of Saga hill. I was impressed with the facility there: tables, benches, whiteboard, hula loops, swings, stoves for tea making, hammocks, plenty of gym-like equipments. Whoa. No need to pay to go gym lo. Just climb Saga hill can do gym already. So cool right? Although it's like violating the nature but those who brought these things up maintained the hill pretty well. I respect that! =)

They even have maps for the tracks! In awe... After Saga peak, we head towards Cuepacs trail. Soon said the trail itself is Ah Pek hill already. Confusing...

Trek down to the waterfall from Ah Pek.

I brought the leftover dinner I cooked (tomyam fried meehoon) as lunch while Soon brought Campbell chicken soup again.. Reheating the meehoon.

Campbell soup and tomyam meehoon

Enjoying my meal.

Nice right these mushrooms?!! I love mushrooms, they blossom in groups which makes them looks like a galaxy of stars in the jungle. =)

After lunch I got more energy, so I volunteer to help Soon carry his bag. lol. No la.. for training purpose. Then only realized it feels like a pregnant lady. Very troublesome to walk. So I trekked slower.

Took with Soon before we left the waterfall.

After that we trekked back to the Saga peak and relaxed on the hammocks for a while. Fell from one hammock when I attempted to lie on it. Got a girl sitting behind saw the whole thing and tried to hide her grin.. Argh.. Malunya... Soon laughed his head off. (-_-)||

After the hike we went to explore. Haha.. nola. Soon said he was told that the famous seafood restaurant is nearby. So we went to check whether it's there. And we found it!

Have to drive very bumpy stony road to reach this place. Plus the fertilizer smell was very strong and pungent to the nose under the glaring sun. But a lot people eating seafood there when we reached there. They seemed enjoying the meal there. Next time must go try there =)

Then had some pan mee and ice kacang near Small Genting before went back. Ice kacang was nice but pan mee was just so-so.

After the trek I was damn tired and slept like a pig. lol. But I challenged my own stamina.. This morning went to jog at Taman Bukit Jalil with Zhuang again. Jogged first round already feel out of breath and legs were damn sore. But, the second round I felt more at ease and the pain had gone and the breath smoother. In the end I jogged 3 and half rounds (I dunno how many kilometers).

Felt so satisfied with my determination. =) How I wish I can continue my training everyday even during the weekdays. Sigh.

Miss ya CP! Call more often yea~ =D

----------------

This weekend is going to be busy as usual. lol..

Which reminded me a conversation between me and CY. (Note: CY is my jimui at work. hehe)

Me: I'm very not active one. I always stay at home one. See I'm as guai as you. =P
CY: Yameh? I thought you went hiking last weekend? And the week before last week go where ah? Sing K? And that day just said you came back from yamcha with a friend?
Me: Erhh... Hehe.. Yahor... Okloh.. I'm busy on weekends only ma.. But weekdays still very guai one. Hahaha..

So yeah... I'm going to go for a small hike tomorrow. For some combination reasons I cant get my old hiking kaki to join me. One going Ching Ming, one going to hang out with friends, one didn't even reply my message. But nevermind, I still have my training partner - Marble Soon. lol.

And then Sunday going to eat Thai food with colleagues! Yummy! Gosh, my gastric juice is gushing out now. lol. Have to remember take photos of the food and put here. Hehe.

Oh ya! Since tomorrow I'm going to hike early morning, means I have to wake up before 7am, means I have to sleep now already! Alrights.. Nights everyone.

Hair maintenance

See my new haircut!

It's shorter than my previous cut. lol.. But I like the light feeling. And when showering I dun need to rub so long coz the hair volume is really small now. =P

Nothing else to blog about tim. lol. Oklah... I include some updates la..

Updates:

1. Missed Chee Hui already. So met her up last Friday. Had Kelantan Laksa at Laksa Shack with her in One Utama. In the end had to pick out all the raw beansprouts when I was eating, very troublesome. Regretted ordering that. But happy to meet a good friend.

Kelantan Laksa and otak-otak. The otak-otak is just so-so. Not spicy and not tasty enough. The Kelantan Laksa soup is nice! But the raw beansprout spoiled the mood to eat the laksa. Hehe..

2. Last Sunday went to sing K at The Gardens with Zhuang and family, and bro too. (No photos coz din get from Zhuang. Hehe.. )
