Don't worry be happy =)

Are you complaining about your life?

Your life sucks?

Watch this. And you will cherish your life more.

Inspired? I cried when I watched this video.

When someone who doesn't have limbs can face life so optimistically, who are you to complain?

This guy called Nicholas Vujicic was born without arms and legs.

People look at him differently. And he got bullied when he was young. He tried to commit suicide when he was 8 but luckily didn't. It was a key turning point in his life when his mum showed him a newspaper article about a man dealing with severe disability. He was then deeply motivated. After that he became optimistic and he even started to give inspirational speech when he was only 17!

He graduated from college at the age of 21 with a double major in Accounting and Financial Planning. After that he began traveling as a motivational speaker.

If he can deal with his life and the one-kind perceptions from people around him, why can't we?

So, like what the song tells us:

Don't worry, be happy!

Lamed

Friday will be my Korean exam.

Damn stressed now! Haven't really do revision on everything.

The scribbles are all scattered here and there in my exercise books and some rough papers.

I need to compile them together into a notebook specifically for my Korean study which I'm yet to buy. lol. So kelam and so kabut.

Nevermind, I'll compile it nicely after the exam so that I can get ready for the next level: Beginner 2, which begins in 11 August which is way too early for me to save money, which also means that I'll be really busy during weekday nights again.

-

My new intern student, HanChong, is a very lame guy. He always says something lame silently and calmly which we normally ignored at first but when recalled few seconds later it silents or freeze us later. Sometimes it's quite funny it cracks us up.

And then we would look like one of these emoticons:

Yesterday I looked at my watch and exclaimed "啊呀!我的手表花了!" He said "戴老花眼镜就看到了咯" (Sorry, no translation coz it only sounds funny when it's in Chinese)

Ronald started to laugh like this:

And then I was frozen:

And Cheng Yee was speechless:

Oh by the way, I just realized that different places have different expressions when being struck by a lame joke:

Manglish: Sweat, kek dao, ketionks etc
Malaysian Chinese: 炸到, 冷, 用肺讲话 etc
China folks: 被雷到

I dunno about English one. Can it be: Lamed? Frozen?

Another busy weekend

Last Friday night was a packed one. Korean class at SS15 till 9pm, then meeting with Raleigh recce team at Bangsar Mc Donald's at 9.30pm, then right after the meeting a surprise birthday party for our Raleigh president, Vincent, at Gabai Waterfall.

I dragged myself home very 'early' the next day.

Woke up at 8am the next day for badminton appointment with my fellow colleagues at Menjalara, Kepong. I just played for less than 1 hour my engine died. lol. My limbs were like cotton candy. lol.

Actually the main reason I went to this badminton thing was for the food my colleague promised me. Hehe. She told me the food at the cake house there are very nice. And it's the main reason I write this entry too. Keke.. Coz the food were indeed very nice!

The cake house's name is De Pastry Chef

It's so famous that many celebrities came to visit the pastry

Not only the meals were tasty, there were different types of attractive cakes displayed too.

These were the food we ordered:

Fettuccine Al Funghi. I love! Taste very Italian. =) This is how a pasta should taste like! Yum! It had a spice aroma which I could not name.

Chicken chop. Ok la.. Like normal chicken chop lo.

Tomyam meehoon. The tomyam lacked the aroma of serai and daun limau purut. But still consider ok ok la.

Mango smooties I ordered. Nice!

The drinks my colleagues ordered. Dun remember the names. I only remember the middle one was melon+honey coz I wanted to order this. =P

My supervisor, Toh Theng.

Yenny

After the meal we went to visit Cheng Yee's parents at their coffee shop near the Pasar Kepong. Chit chat a while then went back. I K.O. in Toh Theng's car during the journey back to Sunway and continued to sleep when I reached home. This was the longest sleep I had in my conscious life. I slept from 3.30pm till Sunday morning 7.30am! o.O Feel very very refreshed the next morning. Actually I still feel refreshed now. lol.

Sunday was another busy day running here and there. But I was recharged so I didn't even feel a tiny tinge of tiredness. =)

I'm refreshed. Are you? =)

Admiring Zee Avi

Few days ago I received a song from Zhuang called "Bitter Heart" by Zee Avi.

I didn't have the chance to listen to it coz my PC have been giving me problem when opening softwares to play videos or audio. It will lag.

Just now finally I had the chance to uninstall some of the unnecessary programs and then played the song. When I first heard it from my PC, I knew right away that this is the song I have been humming when I was cooking my dinner just now. I heard this song from the radio station and love the happy tune of the song.

Since it's so nice I decided to share it at my blog. I went to youtube to look for this song and a Malay-like girl shown up in the videos. I was wondering where this singer come from.

I was shocked when I found that she's from Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia!

I'm so touched that a Malaysian singer can come up with Norah Jones type of song and gain fame in the US.

P/S: Zhuang I love this song! Thanks for sending it to me! But too bad the song cut off halfway. =(

Eason is coming to town!

Eason Chan is coming to Sunway!

OMG OMG OMG!

I've been telling myself that I wanna listen him singing live if I have the chance to. The death of Michael Jackson gave me a lesson that "Don't hesitate if you really like the singer".

Eason's a great singer. I started to notice Eason Chan after I heard his 幸福摩天轮.

After that his 明年今日 attracted me. I was actually attracted by one of the sentence 人总需要勇敢生存 which I think it's very motivating.

Then one more song I really like is "Aren't you glad"! It's his first English song. It's written by a white man But too bad Malaysia cannot view the MV due to copyright restriction. =(

Some other songs which are nice are 兄妹, 浮夸, K歌之王, 不如这样, Shall We Talk, and his very new hits 七百年后.

Awww! I really wanna go to his concert coming up next month. =( But very kelian. Nobody is interested except the intern student, Ronald, in my lab. Sigh.. Maybe ask him whether I can tag along. Or maybe I just go there alone la since its just nearby (at Sunway surf beach).

Gunung Angsi surprised us

Went to Angsi again last Sunday.

The trek was difficult and tiring as usual. Half way up I was having stomach cramp.

Justify Full
Luckily the pain was just for a while. We managed to reach the peak at noon (we took 3 hours to reach the top).

So we happily started to cook lunch.

Soon brought the whole market up. We had 100 plus one person each, ice candy in thermos to keep cold, lollipops, carbonara macaroni, mushroom soup, Cloud 9, Cadbury.

Mushroom soup

Macaroni carbonara (In the end we made a conclusion that this thing is out of the meal list for future treks coz it takes forever to cook the pasta)

At some point when we were cooking it drizzled a bit that we had to cover the food with raincoats to continue cooking.

To speed up the cooking process, we decided to build one more fire source. The 'gas stove' cook mushroom, the firewood cook the pasta.

Three kids play with fire. Hehe.

From the photo it seems that the girls cook and the guys build fire. I have no idea why I fall into the guy category. lol.

In the end we successfully get the fire and managed to heat up the macaroni.

Yea you read it right, we only managed to heat up the paste, not cook it. Coz the dark cloud flew towards us and brought us unwanted visitor - heavy rain.

We had to eat in a circle with a raincoat on our heads to cover the food we were eating. Seriously very kelam kabut.

Thanks to the rain all of us have no appetite already. We just gobbled down the food and pack everything and took our group photo before we left the peak.

Sad faces

To compare the difference, I feel like putting the photos before and after the rain

Before:

After:

Guys you can skip this part:
I wasn't looking good coz I was having menstrual visit and the rain spiced it up. All I wanted was to get to the washroom as soon as possible. Despite the uneasiness from worrying about the menstrual stuff the raining experience was a special one. It felt different trekking in the rain, what's more with erhem.. menstrual visit. Kaka.

-

During this trek we got to see and eat quite a lot of fruits. lol..

First when the trek just started, we saw nangka.

Trying to sniff and see whether it has nangka aroma. But it didn't have the aroma. Maybe it's still not ripe yet.

Then when trekking back after the rain, I smelled something like mango. As a mango-lover, I had to stop and look around for the source of the aroma. It was some round yellowish fruits lying on the trail. It has hard thin skin like those of luo han guo but with very strong mango aroma inside. (Sorry la.. It rained. So I duwan to wet my handphone to take the photo of the fruit. Hehe.. ) The fruit that I saw was already opened and eaten. So I just took up and sniff only. Hehe.

In the end when we reached the carpark, there's a Malay uncle who brought his family to picnic at the waterfall there offered us his rambutans, claiming that he's leaving and his Ford had not enough place to put the fruit already. We gratefully thanked him for the fruits feeling very lucky already.

After a while he came back from his car with another bag of mangosteen and duku. We were astonished already. But he went back to the car, think a while, and came back to us with 2 durians! I was so shockingly astonished and touched. lol. Maybe he saw us all soaking wet with raincoats and all, pity us gua. lol.

These are all from the uncle

Since we had no knife, I used the swiss knife to cut the durian. It's my first time using swiss knife to cut durian. lol. Such a good experience. And gosh! The durians were superb!

-

After the trek we had heavy dinner at USJ. Me and Maggie ate 2 bowls of rice and Soon ate 3 bowls. o.O We were too hungry already. Didn't eat enough during lunch. lol.

I keep this entry short coz I'm really tired and I really need to sleep already. lol. Sorry folks!

Reminded of Michael Jackson again

Saw a video explaining for Michael Jackson's negative comments which I really agree to.

These are my opinions about Michael Jackson:

He did plastic surgery to his nose because he broke his nose during his dance routine in 1979. He complained of difficulty in breathing after the incident. After that his nose started to become pointed. (Source from http://www.popstarsplus.com/music_michaeljackson.htm)

In mid 1980s he was diagnosed of suffering from Vitiligo and Lupus. The treatment for these diseases made him turned pale which explains his white skin.

And the pedophile accusation! There was zero evidence that he did the crime lo. And I seriously believe he loves kids more than anyone else he wrote so many songs about kids and even build a theme park for the kids.

And he's definitely someone with good heart coz he had contributed in charity most of his life.

I hope everyone would stop giving negative comments about him.

Funny CPR prank

Today is an extremely unlucky day. Sigh. Dunno how to describe the series of my unfortunate events.

But it's not my main purpose to sharing my unlucky events now. I just watched a video which almost suffocated me from excessive laughing. The video is about a couple of German CPR teachers pranking some of the students by dressing someone in a dummy suit. Damn hilarious one. Haha..

I wonder real life situation the body will jerk like that or not. If like that damn scary one la.. haha..

Hope the laughter can chase my bad luck away.

-

Today learned some new Korean words.

Wallet = Jikap

The first time I heard it I almost fell to the floor. It sounds exactly like finger/ toe nails in Cantonese.

So next time I can say "I'm gonna take out my jikap" lol.. Sounds so eerie.. =P

Happy birthday girl =)

We kicked start our pre-celebration of Get Pei's birthday yesterday at Umai-ya Restaurant at PJ Uptown for the Japanese buffet lunch. Of so many things we ordered I prefer the sashimi. The salmon was really thick and fresh! Too bad Aud had to do lab and couldn't join us for the lunch.

The green tea ice cream was nice too! But forgot to take the picture of the ice cream. Hehe.

Salad

Get Pei's presents:

Aud joined us later on in Pyramid after the lunch. We went to Canton-i to accompany her for her lunch. I had pamelo mango pudding. It was delicious!

Aud's lunch - Char Siew rice. Looks yummy!

In Canton-i

Afterward we went to watch Transformers. Second time for Get Pei. Hehe. I love the show. It makes me feels like buying their movie-tie in books now.

After that we took pictures in the mall which made us looked like tourists. lol..

Oops... I hunched. So ugly.

Saw this line in the lady's restroom in Pyramid. I think it's cute.

We had our dinner at the Pancake House. We took a lot of photos there. hehe.. I love this part the most coz we had fun!

Act cute

The cake. The strawberries was delicious!

With the cake

A candid of me doing childish acts.

Supposed to act like couples but I couldn't help laughing. =P Get Pei's a good actor. Sorry I ruined it. lol...

Nice one! Hehe.

I had the pan chicken special set. The macaroni was nice! But the chicken was so so. I prefer KFC than this.

It was damn tired laughing and walking. But it was fun and happy being with my girls for the day. =) I enjoy the moments.
