I know the last post was JYJ which consist of Yoochun whom I still like his acting talents. But today, I really can't stop sharing how incredible G-Dragon is.
G-Dragon (GD), his real name Kwon Ji-Yong, is a talented rapper and song writer. I used to not like him because of his bold appearance. I first notice him when I heard one of his song in his 1st solo album has drawn my attention. The song is "Butterfly".
That was when I started to notice GD. But I didn't like his other songs because they were too noisy.
After a while I heard BigBang's 2011 song on radio "Tonight" and love it to bits, especially Top's rapping part. Then only I came to know this song is composed by GD.
And then I became very impressed by him. And started to enjoy his rap in his 1st solo album. And because of GD I started to listen to more BigBang's songs.
GD didn't disappoint me in his 2nd album because he continues to make better musics, I love all the songs (but sorry to other VIP I have to say I still can't accept CrayOn because can't catch the tune in my head). Same to BigBang's Still Alive album which I personally like almost all the songs in the album: "Blue", Bad boy", "Monster", "Ego", "Love Dust", and Daesung's solo "Wings". I know GD composed most of BigBang's songs, but didn't know which one were composed by him. Recently only I realized, all these my favourites are composed by GD.
Then, I went and listen to all the old BigBang's songs too and started to like "Haru Haru", "Last Farewell", "Lies", "Heaven". All are composed by GD as well.
Then I got really impressed.
Then I went to wiki G-dragon and got dawned on. GD started to join entertainment since he was 6! He knew rap and break dancing since 6! I was not only impressed, I admired his talent and perseverance!
To have talent is one thing. But some people with talent might not have the determination and perseverance to continue diligently to improve the skills. Now, GD is 24 years old. To many people, he might be too young to be so famous and successful and many might envy him of his fame and achievement. But, if we do some calculation, he had spent 18 years of his life on specifically rapping and dancing! That's a long time!
Reading his biography had inspired me a lot, on perseverance, patience, determinations and passion for the things we love to do in our lives, and most importantly to keep that passion burning. It's not easy to do that. Hence, I'm impressed with Ji-Yong.
Hence, I decided to set him as my idol. Not only because of his appearance, his composing talents and voice, but his attitude towards his dream.
He has inspired me to work one step at a time on my life goal (creating an art style unique to myself and be known about this style). And whenever I feel low, thinking why I still cannot achieve my dream, I will think of the 18 years Ji-Yong had put his effort on, and compared with mine which was only 15 years.
I started learning drawing since 4 years old till 15 years old. Then after 15 years old, I lost my passion towards art because of pressure from my father. Till very recently when I was 24 years old I started to pick up arts myself again and very actively doing art when I was 26 years old till now 28 years old. Because Ji-Yong spend most of his 18 years on music but I only spend half of my time, and I don't have great talent in art, so I assume I will need 36 years in total to achieve my life goal. So, I presume I have another 21 years to achieve my goal which is when I'm 49 years old. Haha. Very long time. But I feel motivated, by Ji-Yong.
