From the pictures I received I found that I look different in almost every photo and have many facial expressions. lol. Most of the time I look like a toad. =P Especially when my double chin showed up.

This is the combo I made from the photos showing my different facial expressions.

Piercing pain at the lower abdomen came visit me again. I lie on the bed, hugging my blanket tight and imagining it is you who are hugging me and comforting me. And then all the memories I had with you flashed back. All the things you said to me. How you worried for me and how I enjoyed that every moment. Now, thinking of you, it only bring heart pain. This is the first time I had physical and emotional pain at the same time. Both are piercing pain. I feel I was dying for that moment. Tears flowed out uncontrollably. And my brain was flooded with one thought, that I miss you... I tried really hard to make myself happy and strong, at least to show you and people around me that I am strong and I'm ok now. But apparently I haven't ok yet. Coz I still miss you. I still love you...

Sorry for posting this. I know it will make you cry but I want you to know that I'm still thinking of you...

What says Beethoven?

Just bought 萧闳仁 (Hsiao-Hung Jen)'s album yesterday for Audrey by accident.



I said it's bought by accident because she didn't want this CD actually but since I'd bought it already she just buy it from me anyway. But I think she is not really enthusiastic about his songs coz she lend it to me right after she paid me the money and let me listen first. Or maybe she knows I'm curious about his album. Hehe...

He got two songs played quite frequently in radio stations: 看快落去 (pronounced in Hokkien) and 王保钏苦守寒窑十八年. [forgive me for not being able to translate this coz I dun understand the titles either] Both these songs are Mandarin and Taiwan language mix. Pretty special. That's why I admire him. Admire his gut and talent (Just like how I admire Jay's talent and gut in making weird songs). And then when I played the CD until the 8th song called 连贝多芬都想告诉你 (Translate: Even Beethoven also wants to tell you). I was emotionally attracted by the prelude piano part and the emotional chorus part. =)

p/s: I wonder whether this singer has English name for easy recognition.

I always have the urge to buy this when I go to buy buns in the pastry. It is never a waste to spend RM5 for this yummy cake. =) Highly recommended for choco-lover like me. =P





We call this "Mat tou yao" (in Cantonese) because it has all sorts of thing in a bowl of brown syrup... (oops forgot to take the picture of the brown syrup). I got it near my workplace in Glenmarie.

Double thumbs up for choco-lover. Especially if you are looking for chocolate fillings that will flow into your mouth with just one bite. But be prepared to get really messy. Unless you use fork and spoon to eat which defeat the purpose of the choco-flowing moment. =P

No wonder this donut is highly recommended when I searched Google about Big Apple.

Of Frankenstein and Van Gough

Actually when I was typing in previous post that I am trying hard to live my life. I mean I am trying really hard but didn't mean I manage to live my life. I feel lost, empty, depressed (again), useless and alone (nobody to depend on). And I dun feel like doing anything.

I started walking alone in Pyramid again before meeting up Yun Ying. First time after the break up. And the familiar lonely feelings came back to me when I saw loving couples pass by. But this time, I have no one with me. Which makes me feel even more lonely. And the pain was then gradually building up again. I think it did not start when I walked alone in Pyramid last night. I had this empty feeling few days ago especially when I'm driving coz you cant do other stuff to keep yourself occupied when you're driving. And the only thing you can do when you are driving is to think which either brighten up your mood or dampen your mood. My mindset automatically chose the second. How pessimistic. (I'm not always cheerful as some of you might think)

I suddenly found something fresh to occupy my soul when I saw the painting stall in Pyramid new wing last night. It was the Starry Starry Night by Vincent Van Gough, my favourite painting. If you read my blog very long time ago you will know, else, just see here for more detail.

It was staring at me from the ground floor when I was at the second floor going to Popular Bookstore. I got attracted to it. Headed to ground floor instead of the bookstore. RM300 per piece. Even though it's just a fake, but it's still too expensive for me. So this idea came to me. How about draw a painting for my room deco so that my room will be brightened up a bit? Cool idea right? Hehe. But I still thinking wanna draw Starry Starry Night or not. Coz if you know the story of Van Gough, you will know how lonely this painting represents. I duwan it to amplify my loneliness.

And then I walked back to Popular again. Came out with a box of Buncho crayon and a piece of thick drawing paper. Mum, if you're reading this dun nag me for buying the crayon when I can take free good quality crayon from home. Coz I cannot tahan already ma.. Wanna fast fast draw liao ma. Hehe. Cannot wait until bro passes it to me. Dun worry, it's a medium size box, not the big one. Wont be as expensive.

So this is my personal mini project. A painting for room deco. =)

Forgot to write the review on this book I just finish reading.

This cover is the one I have. Got it in MPH warehouse sales at lower price. RM20+ if not mistaken.

But I think this cover looks more appealing. Hmm..


I love this book!


He argues about the ethical problem that will arise from genetic engineering in a very Frankenstein manner. He tells it in short interlinked stories which is surprisingly pretty persuasive to me. I hate novels which are draggy (like Lord of the Ring). This novel has a fast pace, fast enough to keep me awake to read it. =P And it is addictive enough to keep me reading it when I was waiting for traffic lights while driving. Hehe. Ok ok. No more reading when driving now since I've already finish reading it.

He even put 7 pages of references (mostly journals) at the last few pages of the book. And he also put 8 pages of his own opinions on the gene patenting, use of human tissues, gene testing, bans on some genetic researches in some countries and the Bayh-Dole act. Very scientific feel. Makes me feel so sciencesick (derived from homesick. hehe)

Oh. Talking about science fictions. I bought several old 1980s science fictions from the bookfair in 3K Subang Jaya long time ago before I graduated. And the first few pages already brought me plenty of cold sweat. The story is about the world in 2030. And this sentence talking about how hightech the typewriter will be in 2030... When I saw this sentence I suddenly lost my "apetite" to continue reading the book. I's like, hello? We dun use typewriter anymore now. We use PDAs if you want hightech for heaven's sake. lol. I'm bad.

And after that I swore to myself I will never ever buy old outdated science fictions again. Ever.

And talking about typewriter. Ah~~ Sweet memories. I miss the 'keching' sound when it got to the next line. Hehe. And I miss how I hate stucking my fingers into the holes in between the buttons. It peeled my skin. And the tapping sounds of the sticks (dunno how to call it). And how I always liked to touch the ink strips when I was wondering where the printed words came from. I was 9... I was just playing around with the typewriter =)

Met up with Yun Ying just now. =D The last time we met was more than one year ago. We din get to see each other after we completed our honours projects in Monash. So happy to see her just now. =) Surprisingly she's still the Yun Ying I know after one year working in Singapore. keke.. I was expecting some changes in the Mandarin slang. But, nope, her Mandarin is still very Malaysian. And still very Yun Ying. =P

We wanted to take picture just now but forgot. When I went to take the car only remember we still not yet take picture. lol. Nevermind. Will take picture with her when I go to the Marathon with her in December =)

Geram-nya!

Now my hand, arms, legs are swollen here and there. Blame the fire ants! I din step on them or kacau them also. Dunno why they want to bite me =( Now the infection areas are red and swollen and itchy and sometimes painful when pressing it. And because of the itchiness I woke up from sleep at freaking 3am. And minyak kapak (eucalyptus oil) cannot help ease any itchiness. I was outraged already last night. I looked around in my room and look for the ant nest and pour some of the pesticide powder specially for ants near their nest and near their activity area.

Now the ants are all out of my view. Hehe. At least I dun see them crawling everywhere in my room. I feel safe! =D

But one good thing down another bad thing arised. Grrr.. Another thing that makes me jump is the connection! Can't really connect these few days. To MSN, to websites. And now, I'm very desperate wanna find some movie clips to watch on youtube, but the connection is down... And, see, now I can't even publish this post! Arghh!! Hey, Streamyx, if you are unable to connect us at least dun charge me this few days la can? What's the point I pay you when I dun even receive your service? Am I right?

This post is written when the connection was down. Published when it is back to normal for like 10 minutes. But connection still very weak coz I cant upload the photo of my newly bought cute pink baby mouse.

The best solution for such low connection is to have a beauty sleep and rejuvenate my energy for tomorrow. =) Nights.

Game maniac

Last two days I had been disappearing from the MSN and didn't update my blog too. I was playing a game called 武林群侠传.



This is a very very old game. I played it since 2000 but because the storyline depends on how you choose it, there are many possible outcomes for this game. That's why play until now also haven't get to experience all the stories.

This game is very very flexible. You can choose to learn different types of kungfu, eg. using barehands, swords, knife, stick and a lot more. There are many things to be chosen as hobby: Chinese chess, black and white chess, gardening, cooking, drawing, writing, drinking alcohol or tea, medicine, poison, fishing, mining, hunting, making weapons, music. From each of these hobbies, you can develop new techniques in kungfu which makes you greater. Every techniques have its own sophisticated name. And if you master any of the kungfu, you will be given a nickname which is known to everyone in the game for example a swift shifter if your 轻功 is great (meaning you are good with your feet: able to avoid enemy attack by swift movements) and "The Unbeatable" if your 硬功 is perfect (meaning your life point will hardly decrease when attacked)

You can also choose to be good guy or bad guy by choosing good or bad guys as friends. And if you win the game in the end, you can become the dark lord if you're a bad guy and a dragon lord if you're a good guy. And in the game you have 6 girls to tackle. If you are able to tackle all 6 of them then you will be known as "Casanova". And the good thing to have so many girlfriends is that you can collect all sorts of weapons and shields from every one of them.

The reason I play this game is just to try out the effects of the techniques from practicing the hobbies coz one cannot master all the hobbies at one time. I've played 3 times since I know this game and each time I played I try to master different hobbies. Hehe. This time maybe I should play some chess then. =)

I am sitting in front of the PC typing...

I'm very down today. I had my heart torn for him last night. I guess I hurt him. I didn't meant to hurt him. I was hoping that it could be a negative motivation for him after so many unsuccessful positive motivations I've made. I guess it did not motivate him from his response last night. It hurt him instead. So, I was torn coz I feel useless, being really useless in encouraging him. And at the same time am angry with him giving up himself.

Sigh. Sometimes, some negative emotions deep down, you need to fix it yourself. Nobody can mend it. Because it needs your determinations. I hope you can slowly fix it.

Am at my aunt's house for mooncake festival coz I heard my brother will be coming to her house too. But, when I'm already here to stay for the weekend only he told me he is only coming for Sunday dinner. I was like..

Plus, Zhuang is out to a friend's birthday party. Left Mei who is supposed to study for her PMR. Sigh, should have stayed at home and accompany Audrey and go shopping with her. Feel sorry for her, just like I felt sorry for CP two weekends ago.

Anyway, I'm really glad that me and bro is getting closer compared with last time when we were like total strangers ever since I came here to further my studies. I'm appreciating every bit of the moments. =)

Received an email from Nuffnang two weeks ago for a confirmation for a CPM advertisement (the Guiness ad which is showing now). Yeay! Finally! After waiting for so long. =P CPM means the pay is depending on the number of visitor per day I have in my blog.

Sigh. Too bad, my blog visitor count is not high enough to get me fruitful earnings.

But nevermind. I was surprised when a second email from Nuffnang asking for a confirmation for another CPM advertisement (this time Tiger. Another alcohol pula?). Am so excited coz at least the advertisement in my blog won't sometimes appear sometimes disappear already. The advertisement campaign will be held until 12th October! =D

Hmm.. Not so down already. Hehe. Very easy to be pleased am I? =)

P/S: What time is it now? 10.20pm? But I'm hungry already.. =(

When you had too much random post, what else you can name another one?

Just came back from work like less than 1 hour ago. After so long never check the Domino Counter, I just logged in and have a look. And then I saw my company name?!!... in the "details of the last 100 visitor" list!

The time shown here is GMT+2, which means someone read my blog at 12.30pm, which is during lunch time! Wakaka.. Din know my power of my blog has spread to the office already. lol.


Speaking of my workplace, guess what is the function of the ice-maker machine in lab other than making ice for lab purpose?

I had been telling this joke (twice only la) to my colleagues. One of the colleagues hurt her tongue when she was eating noodle soup. So I gave her a suggestion: go dig a small hole in the ice pool in the ice-maker machine and tug your tongue in the ice hole. lol.. Naughty I am. But we had a good laugh. =D Another colleague was really angry over someone. Guess what? lol. I suggested her to bury her head into the ice in the ice-maker machine.

Lame right? But the joker in The Dark Knight said "why so serious?" At least someone supports me. Hehe. Why so serious when your life span is only less than a century? Why not make people around you happy and feel the happiness as well? Even though being a joker might make me look stupid, but then again, why so serious when I have only 50 years more to live? Live is healthy only when it is full of laughter. =)

Back to lab talk. One of my colleagues said she feels like autoclaving her labcoat to ensure its cleanliness. lol. I couldn't agree more! We spilled bacteria, ethidium bromide, buffers and all sorts of stuff onto our labcoats and in the end of the week we only wash it with just detergents. Summore I wash with my bare hands le! I'm not really sure whether I'm safe washing my labcoats with bare hands anymore. Hmm..

Weekend updates

I shall continue my weekend story before the next weekend comes.

As mentioned in my previous post, I went to a natural farm (Bandar Harapan) trip organized by Raleigh Kuala Lumpur last Saturday. And as mentioned, despite my low interests on gardening or farming, it brought back the long lost memories of my agriculture subject field trip in Second year in Monash. Same like the field trip, in this trip to the natural farm we got to touch, smell and even taste the leaves of the plants under the guidance of the person in charge, Ivan.

But I learned something extra during this trip as compared to the previous field trips. One of the interesting things is the garbage enzyme Ivan produced in big bulk through natural fermentation which when mixes with farm wastes and appropriate amount of water it can be treated as fertilizer.

And, it was the first time I see people rear earthworms. Ivan made an earthworm nest by covering the patch of soil with a roof to make it shady and moist, ideal for earthworms to stay.

Not only earthworms Ivan rears. He also rears all sorts of insects and animals like frogs and crickets, which will help loosen the soil.

Ivan also made another type of fertilizer, a more common type - fertilizer from animal wastes. At first I didn’t know it was made of animal waste. So when Ivan told us to put our hands into the lump of decompose to feel the warmth inside, I followed. Luckily it didn’t stink. In fact, it didn’t stink at all. Only the garbage enzyme, the natural SK2 claimed by Ivan, stinks. Lol.

After the farm, I went straight to give tuition in OUG.

And then after tuition, there was a farewell dinner with one of the girls, CP, in Ole Ole Bali Pyramid.

Then after that I went to Halo Café in OUG for a tea with my hometown friend, Chee Hui. She came to KL for few days for work.

After so many years I finally got to talk to her face to face and one to one with her. She told me about her ideas of writing a new novel. I enjoyed reading her novels she posted online. She wants to be a novelist. She IS a novelist now, normally writes science fictions about reincarnation, plus a bit of love story. She actually does think like a novelist. When it comes to her stories, she can link all incidents together to make a complicated science fiction. And she sings well too. =P Din notice that when we were in secondary school.

The next day was another blast. I went to help up with the Jumbo Sales at Mont Kiara organized by Lee Lee and Zhi Yong. They are going to the Sabah Expedition end of this month. The crowd was not satisfying and so was the sales. But the good thing was I saw a lot of Korean families , Japanese and white people walking around this area. How cool was that? Hehe.

The sales ended at 6pm but I only got back to my car at 8pm because of the carpooling effect. =( Sweat.. After that I went to yamcha with a friend in Bandar Puteri. When I reached home it was already 12am.

Maybe due to insufficient water plus too much dehydration (coz stand under the sun), insufficient sleep and too much Mc Donald's (for breakfast and lunch) on Sunday, I got a flu again. Padan muka lo. Sien.... I hate flu! It makes my head dizzy.

Now I'm having Mc Donald's phobia already. No more French fries for another few weeks!


I hate flu with runny nose! Especially when the tissue paper can only wipe a bit then it's a'll wet and have to throw away already. Maybe I should consider using sanitary pad to wipe dry? Or tampons? lol. Idea taken from the movie She's the Man. hehe.

If I could only see you in my dreams, I'll sleep more...

My weekend was fully-utilized! But tiring also.

I slept very late in the early Saturday morning at 3.30am which is way over my normal sleeping time. Sigh.. Preparation for tuition again. But this time it takes away too much of my sleeping time. I'm gonna quit this soon.

Ok. Back to my story. I woke up at 7.30am Saturday morning. Which means 4 hours sleeping time only?! I normally need 8 hours sleeping time for my brain to operate properly one le. Sigh. And the worse thing is, when I had not enough sleep I can't synchronize my brain and my body movements. I almost bumped into a wall when I'm walking and I knocked my head to the front mirror. Plus my bones were aching when I woke up this morning! Because of lack of sleep. =( I duwan to torture myself sleeping late already. IT IS NOT FUN!

Went out for Raleigh monthly meeting at 8.15am and miraculously reached the Kelana Jaya LRT station at 8.35am! lol. I love Saturday morning when the traffic is lovely. =P

This month meeting we had it in a natural farm. Natural in the sense that no GMO crops and fertilisers are used. I actually agree to what Dennis had pointed out this morning, that gene contamination is possible when there are 2 big farms with GMO crops near this natural farm. So this farm might not have 100% natural crops as what they are claiming.

Farming was always the least I want to do in my life. lol. So I din really expect much fun from this monthly meeting. But garbage enzyme attracted my attention actually. I heard about it from my aunt who went to a some sort of save-the-world or make-green-our-world (Dun remember la..) campaign in Bukit Jalil. She picked up this new technology from the speakers there about this Garbage Enzyme where one can just add 3 parts of any rubbish (basically only vege and fruits are allowed, and strictly no oil and meat), 1 part of brown sugar and 10 parts of water and finally close it tightly with a lid to allow anaerobic fermentation which will somehow break down the compounds in the waste into simpler and more useful compounds which are believed to be efficient in substituting detergents and soaps. And it can be used as a natural fertilizer.

So, I would conclude, in a simpler manner, garbage enzyme = natural detergent.

It sounds promising but I could not find any journals related to this garbage enzyme in scholar google. Maybe there are. Just that I could not find them.

The most highlighted part was the uncle asked us to try soaking our hand into the garbage enzyme. At first I din try. But everyone keep saying their skins feel smoother after soaking. So out of curiosity I tried. It stinks!! Stink like rubbish bin in kitchens. And worse was it didn’t make my skin any smoother. After that I washed my hands with soaps several times only can get rid of the smell.

Hmm. I wanna go sleep already. But I refuse to not posting this up. So I think I will post up half first lo. Shall continue with the farm, Saturday night and Sunday event. Nights.

Padini crazzze!

Today while working, when me and Y heard over the radio that the petrol price might be decreasing by 15 cents next week, both of us cheered so loud that CY was wondering what happened to us.

Please drop again and then I can buy more clothes. Muahaha.

Talking about clothes, I went to Padini warehouse sales with my colleagues during lunch time today. It's a walking distance from my company. How convenient!

And guess what? All items are RM6 per piece!!! Yes! I mean the tops, jeans, pants, slippers, heels, bags, dress, skirts, shoes, belts, scarves etc etc etc... You name it, they have it! Rm6 per piece for all these, each! Only some minority items are RM13 per piece. But, that also is considered cheap!

Some of the clothes are out-of-shape already but some still looks new and untouched. Some heels are thrown out and looks old but some are still nicely placed in the shoebox along with the white paper. Belts are kept in plastic bags, each belt in a plastic bag.

I got myself 7 items! Inclusive of:




2 T-shirts (the top one is Padini Authentics one. White colour, length until butt, thick and elastic, quality good; the bottom one is Seed. Dark yellow colour actually, normal length but fit ngam ngam my shoulder, nice!)






2 spaghetti stripes (The top one is P&Co's. The bottom one is Padini Authentics', S size but it's very wide, have to do some minor sewing)


1 spaghetti halter top (this one is M size but surprisingly fit. Dunno what brand one.)


1 mini skirt (P& Co's. Saw this one from far when I was walking towards the counter. This is the skirt I always wanted to buy!!! And then told myself if this was L or XL size I will just forget about it. But it's M size! So I couldn't resist it. =P)


And 1 knee-length dress (Seed's)! Can wear to dinner! lol.. RM6 for a dress! Like WTH?!?!



Guess how much I spent on these in total?

RM42 only! Oh My Gawd.. RM42 couldn't even get me a normal price Padini shorts. lol.

Hehe.. actually I haven't got enough shopping from Padini warehouse sales. Wanna shop again for the junks. I saw one really nice slippers and scarf on some lady's hand when I was paying at the counter but I had not enough time to squeeze back and find the slipper and scarf. So I gave up.


p/s: This is not an ad. lol. I'm just too excited. And satisfied with my purchases. =P

Food in The Curve!

This update is a bit outdated I must admit. We, the 6 girls, went to Bubba Gump in The Curve on 24 August the Sunday to pre-celebrate Choo Peng's birthday.

Forgive me if you hate looking at small photos. I hate it too! I have no idea why the handphone photos all so small...

Bubba Gump interior is very unique! There are 3 different theme in the restaurant. Downstairs one I dunno how to describe coz I din really see what theme it was. Upstairs got two compartments. The one we chose to dine in was like a rugged restaurant in a cowboy city. A wall separated this cowboy theme with another elegant old European style compartment. Both also nice!




The bag I'm holding is CP's birthday present. The plastic bag was handmade by me. Muahaha. So proud of it. Although the gum stain looks a bit gross . But overall it looks good.

And Zhuang said the Bubba Gump waiters in US will come to the table and ask the customers 3 questions about the movie Forrest Gump. And if the customer get them right he/she can get a free dessert. Cool right? Too bad Malaysia one dun have such thing.

I ordered steak. Hehe. Expected la. Coz normally dun have the chance to eat steak. I will grab every chance given to me. Kakaka..
I ordered medium steak coz I want it soft and slightly uncooked taste of the beef. Hehe. The mashed potato was good but I dun like the sour cream on it which covered the taste of the mashed potato. Salad was fresh and it tasted unique coz it had a kind of herbal taste in the dressing. I dun like onion ring. So no comment for the onion ring. =P

I never watch this movie but according to Zhuang, who watched this movie several times (she loves this movie!), Forrest sat in a bus with this luggage and chocolate and he started to share the chocolate with people in the train. And thats when he shared his famous line -- My momma always said, "Life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get."

Had a very rare dining experience with Adam and Yumin on Monday. I emphasized the word 'dining' here because we went to La Gourmet in the Curve. This is the very first time in our history going to such sophisticated restaurants.


I ordered chicken pasta. It tasted great! The price also 'great' le. lol. RM20.90 for this pasta.

Din take picture with them coz we kept talking until din have time to take photo la. lol.

So ngam three of us are dog lovers. So we went to the pet centre in Ikano, wanted to see the dogs. But too bad maybe it was 9 something at night already, the dogs were all taken away from the cages already. So we ended up looking at the dog accessories. lol.
