I felt my throat is blocked when I swallow anything, including water, since last Sunday. Then Monday, I started to have chest pain. I thought it's because of my grieving for my grandma's death. So I thought I should just let the grieving pass first and see whether the pain continues.
Yesterday went to see doctor. The moment I told the doctor I feel my throat is blocked when I swallow food or water, she blurted out that this is Esophagitis. And then she asked whether I had acidic food before that. I didn't. Then we both agreed that it's the late dinner I had recently due to OT at work. This month I had been eating dinner at 9 something. No more late dinners next time... Hmmm...
Note:
Esophagitis is inflammation of the esophagus. It is mainly due to gastroesophageal reflux, meaning gastric juice went upwards to the esophagus and hence damaging the esophagus. That means each time I swallow food it's actually squeezing through the injured esophagus before entering the stomach. OMG I dun even dare to imagine what happen in there.
And then I look up gastroesophageal reflux in wikepedia. The symptoms of the reflux are:
1. Heartburn (√) 2. Regurgitation (√, got that yesterday before I had lunch) 3. Trouble swallowing (√) 4. Pain with swallowing (√) 5. Excessive salivation (X) 6. Nausea (√, today I feel like vomiting before lunch time) 7. Chest pain (√)
Doctor said this will take long time to heal. Sigh.. I hope it heals faster. Nowadays I dun even have the mood to eat nice food coz I feel pain swallowing so what's the point of eating nice food when you'll only suffer instead of enjoying it? =(

Yesterday went to have a fast shopping at Pyramid after work. Fast shopping means I had a buying list and I pre-plan the route in the mall for me to buy all the things listed in the list.
One of the items in my list is "cold colour clothes". According to Chinese culture, I should not wear warm colours (e.g. red, purple, orange, yellow) within the 100 days after the death of close relatives. I haven't been following this rule but this time I want to wear cold colour (e.g. blue, green, grey, white, black, beige) clothes for 100 days because I want to show respect for my dearest grandma.
I know mum would say "die already you do what also no use, you should have treat her well when she's still alive". I know I haven't been going back to hometown to visit her as often as I wish, and haven't been calling her for a chat as frequent as I should, but I'm satisfied because every time when I was with grandma, I did my best. =)
So back to my story, I want to wear cold colour clothes for 100 days which is until 24th April but I only have 5 cold colour clothes. One green and 4 white. (minus the green Raleigh Tee which I definitely will not wear it to work, too obvious la the R.. shy shy to wear outside Raleigh. hehehe..). I just realized that my pink and yellow clothes are dominating my closet. Now think about it, last time I wear pink and yellow almost everyday. lol..
That was why cold colour clothes was in my buying list. Yesterday when I passed by MNG yesterday during the fast shopping, I saw a very big "Clearance Sales" word on the glass window. 20 minutes later I came out with 2 cold colour tops (one light beige, one black). Love it so much and it didn't cost much, just an average of RM45 each. It's considered very cheap for MNG apparels.
Went to BioMalaysia on Thursday. Visited Vivantis booth and my coloured agar plates. =P
They hanged them on the Christmas tree.
Can you find my plates? =) There were plenty hanging up there, with assorted colours.
Here's my most favourite orange colour plate =)
-
Went to shop with Audrey last night at Pyramid.
Took some pictures of the clothes I tried on. Hmm, I guess this is not against the law right? Taking pictures of the clothes in changing room... I find it easier for me to decide which one to buy after taking the picture and reviewing it again and again after I left the changing room.
My eyes look different. Looks like I applied eyeliner. In fact I only applied foundation and lipstick. That's my eyelash I guess. =P
And hey! I still look chubby like last time lo, no? Mum said my face slimmed down a lot. I dun see that here. I bought this piece. I have very few long sleeve clothes in my closet. The weather is getting colder and the lab air cond has been working very well, too well till my T-shirt is no longer keeping me warm already.
Ignore my retarded expression. This piece looks very very nice on me! But I didn't buy it. Coz it's RM110, out of my budget. Secondly, I won't wear it often if I buy it, can't wear it to work also... But feel sad I didn't buy it... =(
Then went to Kitchen (I'm sure the shop name doesn't spell like this but I can't help calling it Kitchen whenver I wanna shop there) to try on some clothes too. Actually this shop sold very nice Korean style lady jackets but after trying these jackets just don't fit me. They look way too big for my size.
Something like this:
It's not practical to wear this in Malaysia la. But the jacket looks so cute!
I tried on this piece of dress.
A bit hip-hop style. I like the bottom part but the top singlet part is a bit too plain.

Mei showed me this MV after our Chemistry tuition.
Have any of you tried Olay Total White cream? (This is not an advertisement la. lol..)
Total white extra fair cream (for darker complexion) Total white spot lightening cream
I've used it few months ago and found that upon application of the cream it instantly brightened up my skin. Initially I thought maybe after washing it off my face will turned back to its original dark complexion. Out of curiosity, I washed my face after applying it the face still remain as fair!
After applying it for a week my face complexion is far too fair as compared with my neck (I was lazy to apply it on the neck sometimes. Teehee) Everyone who met me exclaimed that I became fairer and I looked nicer. So I was really in love with this product. Summore this product is dirt cheap, only RM3.90 for 20g. Without second thought I used it everyday and when it ran out I bought new ones to continue using it.
Lately it's used up again and I wanted to buy a new one to top up my stock. But when I went to Guardian I couldn't find any on the shelf! So I bought myself Olay White Radiance instead. After that I had been wondering what happened to Olay Total White? So I went to Google up for this product. Couldn't find whether it's banned or something. But found a NST news article I found from Malaysian Babes Forum about several whitening products being banned from the market due to the presence of hydroquinone and mercury in the products.
Research shows that high concentration of hydroquinone might cause cancer. Furthermore, it also can cause irritation to the skin. Mercury can cause liver and kidney damage.
The article opened my eyes on the active ingredients in these whitening products and pushed me to read more on the activities of these compounds in the melanin production pathway. There are several active ingredients used in whitening products: non-toxic ones such as arbutin, vitamin C, glycyrrhetinic acid, kojic acid, melanostat and retinol, and toxic ones such as hydroquinone and mercury.
The functions of most of the these compounds are ultimately similar, that is to inhibit the production of melanin which is responsible for the darkening of the skin. As compared to hydroquinone and mercury, the non-toxic compounds are way more expensive than the toxic compounds (Quote from the NST news "Thailand sells for about US$20 (RM70) per kilogramme of mercury-based ingredients or hydroquinone, compared with highly concentrated licorice extract, which sells for about US$20,000 per kilogramme".
This struck me really hard. If hydroquinone or mercury salts is RM70/kg, 20g of the compound is RM1.40. And the Total White is RM3.90 for 20g. Hmm.. looks like it... I better throw it away.
Note: This is just my simple guess. I can't find any proof that Total White is banned from the government.
I woke up extremely early this morning. Already used to waking up at 7.30am. The stomach started to kacau even when I wanted to sleep back.
So started my day with some horlicks, my medicine and The Sims 3.
Played until my head started to spin and the medicine started to take effects that I had to lie down and let the world spun around me. Waited for Audrey to come home to go jalan-jalan at Ikano.
It was out of our expectations coz the parking lot was full early in the morning, around 10+am! There were quite some crowd there already. But after lunch time it get even more crowdy with lots of Malay guys wearing their traditional Malay costume. That's a very rare scene lo, seeing all Malay guys with their traditional Malay costume walking in shopping malls.
So long never shop already suddenly my purse was very itchy. lol..
Took some photos in Padini Concept Store.
I bought this pink pants at RM44.50.
The specs look nice on me right? Right?! ^^ Looks like Korean. =P The frame was made of wood. Special right? Wanted to buy the specs but I was too rational to buy it. Coz it was freaking expensive! RM59 le.. As an accessory it's considered expensive lo..
After that went to watch The Perfect Getaway with bro and his bestie, Gary, at Pyramid. Before meeting bro, I shopped around for a while and bought this cute piece of dress. =)
Cute right? ^^ Have to find some chance to wear this out already. hehehe...
(Note: Sometimes I just think my short hair doesn't suit dresses.. look so boyish.. hmm..)
Today dunno why I felt like giving happiness to everyone. So, I wished every Malay cashier "Selamat Hari Raya" when I paid the bills. Their responses were surprised at first and then happily thanked me. =)
And today dunno why I felt very cheerful. When I wanted people to give way, I cheerfully said "Excuse me! Thanks!" with a very cheerful tone. I guess despite my masked face they still can see my cheerful expression from my eyes coz I saw their faces lit up when they smiled at me when they gave way.
And I guess maybe I was in such a cheerful mood, the cashier at the Jusco greeted me "gong xi fatt chai" when I paid them the bills. lol.. I'm giving away so much happiness I felt like a Santa Claus today. =P
Weekends had always been busy for me. Go for a hike, some shoppings, camping, go back hometown, or go to my aunt's place to gossip with Zhuang and Mei. Suddenly this weekend there's nothing much for me to do. And I've done my house chores. Plus all my housemates went home to celebrate Father's day.
I'm all alone, and bored in my tiny room.
Internet can no longer give any effects to entertain me.
I tried to play the Restaurant City game in FB. I was bored after 30 minutes playing it. I regularly checked my email. No new mails. I dun even feel like staring at the computer screen! I flipped open my Korean reference book and tried to study. But today I dun feel like reading. And I dun feel like watching dramas either (the ppstream at my place is slow..). And I've already slept the whole day I can't sleep again anymore I feel like shopping but Audrey's back and I have no one to shop with me at the moment (and I dun feel like shopping alone coz it will add to my boredom)
Seriously I have no idea how to fill up my time. This sounds like words coming from people with no goals in life. Bad. Really bad...
That's yesterday.
Today, I'm gonna wash my car, pump the tyres, go for a jog. At least something right? =)

I discovered Bitesize Bio when I was looking for theories behind plasmid extraction. It has a very funny post about disasters created by newbies in lab. The writer compiled four incidents he encountered or heard. I like the way the writer brought out the topic. He wrote it in a funny and sarcastic way. You can read it here. If you're lazy to read it from Bitesize Bio I can summarize for you, but in a less humorous way. hehe..
1. One incident is the usage of pipette near Bunsen burner. Careful not to place the pipette so near the burner. You don't want a burnt pipette. =P
2. Another is exploding agar. Never ever tighten the lid of universal bottle or stop the conical flask when heating up whatever solution in microwave. Not only the lid or the stopper will fly out, the door of the microwave will fly open and the glass of the bottle or flask, the agar, andthe lid will blast out. If you're lucky you might taste some of the boiling agar. This is quite a common mistake many people make. I've heard one incident in my uni some time ago. Luckily the girl was not injured.
3. Culture flasks on orbital shaker. Using masking tape or glue tack at the bottom of the 1 litre flasks to secure the flasks is not a very good idea. The flasks are so huge you think so easy fix them with the small tape meh.. Summore put at the bottom. Where's the common sense? lol.. In the end the tape or glue tack loosen, the broth spilled and the tape or glue tack lost its stickiness, the flasks knocked onto each other, some glasses shed. Lots of cleaning is required the next morning. Tsk tsk.
4. Always always balance the tubes using weighing machine, not eyes, when using the bulky centrifuge machine. According to the writer, the PhD holder "weighed" some glass tubes with her eyes, placed it in the centrifuge machine, started the machine and let it run for 30 minutes while she went off for a coffee break. The write described "The machine did it’s job, dutifully forcing it’s motor toward the desired 12,000 x g. As the rotor speed increased, the destabilizing effect of the difference between the volumed in the tube became more and more significant". And then you know what will happen lo.. the force bent the axle, causing the rotor to destroy the inner drum of the centrifuge. You won't wanna know how much it cost to change the rotor..

I like this song from the Korean drama Boys Over Flower. Lucky by Ashily
I like the meaning of the lyrics from this song- The Climb by Miley Cyrus
Here's the lyrics: I can almost see it That dream I'm dreaming but There's a voice inside my head sayin, You'll never reach it, Every step I'm taking, Every move I make feels Lost with no direction My faith is shaking but I Got to keep trying Got to keep my head held high
There's always going to be another mountain I'm always going to want to make it move Always going to be an uphill battle, Sometimes you going to have to lose, Ain't about how fast I get there, Ain't about what?s waiting on the other side It's the climb
The struggles I'm facing, The chances I'm taking Sometimes they knock me down but No I'm not breaking I may not know it But these are the moments that I'm going to remember most yeah Just got to keep going And I, I got to be strong Just keep pushing on, cause
There's always going to be another mountain I'm always going to want to make it move Always going to be an uphill battle, Sometimes I'm going to have to lose, Ain't about how fast I get there, Ain't about what's waiting on the other side It's the climb
There's always going to be another mountain I'm always going to want to make it move Always going to be an uphill battle, Sometimes you going to have to lose, Ain't about how fast I get there, Ain't about what's waiting on the other side It's the climb
Keep on moving Keep climbing Keep the faith baby It's all about It's all about The climb Keep the faith Keep your faith

I'm so obsessed with Korean language that I labeled every button of my keyboard with Korean consonants like ㄴ,ㄹ,ㄱ,ㄷ and vowels like ㅏ,ㅔ,ㅣ,ㅓ,ㅗ etc.
Can see the characters? Sorry that the image quality is very bad coz it's taken with my hp camera coz my camera has spoiled.
Crazy right? Haha.. But this enable me to type Korean with slightly faster speed. At least I don't need to check my notebook which letter I have to type for which Korean character. YES! All the Korean characters don't tally with the letters in my keyboard. For example, the letter K in my keyboard does not give the Korean "K's" (ㄱ/ㄲ/ㅋ).

Oh ya! I promised I'll show my new bag right?
Here it is.
Tada!
It looks like school bag. Hehe.. But I like the big size so I can fit everything in. And I like the cutting. It's just that the colour doesn't suit me. But too bad, they only have black, grey and fluorescent red. I wanted to take the fluorescent red but it looks too childish to me.
Every time I go to Sunway Pyramid for grocery shopping, I ended up fleeing from the shopping complex as if it was on fire.
Wondering why? Hehe..
Coz I always start spending money buying stuff that I dun really need. Like today, I bought a pair of slippers and a handbag. Alright, actually my slippers are broken already. There was once when water came through when I walked in a public toilet. I think it's very unhygienic. And my handbag. Oh well, I just love the new bag. =P Keke..
I had to flee from Pyramid after that because I know I will sure buy more unnecessary things one. Especially I wanted to buy a handphone hanger just now coz my handphone hanger was broken again. Sigh. Now I'm not very used to holding my handphone without the hanger. Feel as if the handphone will fall off my hand. Nevermind. I will get one when I really cannot stand it. lol.
Hehe. Will show my new bag here when I got time to take a photo of it. =) Can't wait to use it! =P
Hmm. I googled for the 2009 hairstyle trend. And guess what I found?
There are 3 types:
1. Short - Pixie style
2. Long - Straight and silky
3. Long - 70s wavy hair
Which one should I try le? 3rd one I definitely don't need to change anything to my hair already coz my hair looks fluffy like the most right hand side picture. Hehe.
Pixie one is quite impossible coz I have thick hair, I might look like I'm wearing a helmet when having that style (unless, according to Audrey, I go trim my hair every 2 weeks)
Silky one is quite tempting to me. But I had that last year already. Having back the same silky hair will be quite boring, isn't it?
The most drastic change will be pixie hair, but it's sooo short! I might need to think twice. Hmm...
Which hairstyle I should I choose? I want to have a new hairstyle in 2009 =) Any suggestions?
I didn't realized how detached I was from my blog and the internet until I read an email from 2 days ago just now (Last time I checked my Gmail at least everyday).
I'm really busy this week mainly on these:
1. Preparing for tuition stuff coz it's the last day of tuition with the Form 4 kids today and I hope I can give them my best. (15% of my free time)
2. Meeting up Steven (20% of my free time)
3. Sleep like there's no tomorrow because of headache (20% of my free time)
4. Watch Korean drama (45% of my free time)
Hehe. I hope this won't happen so frequently in the future coz jumbling and summarizing everything together in ONE post is really messy.
-----------------------
Updates updates! From last week till now! hehe. I know it's long. And this post will be really long too. =P But no worries. Coz I will cut the words and let the pictures do the talking.
CP's farewell with a fruitcake in Audrey's room
I'm dark. I know. But the photo is dark also. So actually I'm not that dark. keke.

A breakfast in Old Taste
Me and Audrey just realized that both of us fancy having early breakfast outside very much. We woke ourselves earlier than normal last Saturday just for a breakfast before we go to work.
French toast, roti bakar (toast) and hazelnut coffee for me
Tuna sandwich, roti bakar and white coffee for Olie

Kuala Lumpur Photography Festival at Time square
And found that I actually have no interest in how to play with lights and contrast and the shutter speed or what not. But I love to see the photos in the exhibition. And ...my goodness ! Nowadays cameras are so cheap! RM800 for a 10 megapixel thin and sleek camera with pretty big zoom in magnitude (is it called magnitude? lol) and anti-shock function plus 2GB memory card! Oh my god! How I wish I can buy one. Sob sob.
Pardon the number of pictures in the festival. So many people are carrying their SLR cameras around I dun have the gut to take picture with my handphone camera. hehe.

Meet up Steven
We had dinner at Gasoline in Pyramid
It's really dark inside. I recommend you bring a torch if you want to read the menus there. (Oops! I forgot I have a torch in my handbag stand by)
The lamb chop I ordered is so-so la. Got a very strong frozen food taste. But the rest says their food are quite nice.

Tried Skin Food masks
So cute! Looks like ice-cream
It looks like this inside
With a ice-cream spoon too!
Mix it and ta-da! It's ready to be applied to the face. This one is rose petals and herbs facial mask
Looks like monster. lol.
As the name says it: Cocoa and honey mask
The cocoa powder smells just like those cocoa powder for baking.
After mixing with honey. It looks just like the chocolate ice-cream topping of Mc Donald's sundae. And it smells like chocolate brownies!
At that moment this chocolate mixture looks edible to me.
But I finally managed to persuade myself that it is NOT food and sadly dabbed it on my face. I felt like licking those chocolate around my mouth too. But the thought of this chocolate mixture might have some inedible stabilizing agents in it stopped me from doing so.
Do I look like African? lol
p.s. Talk about Africans I hate it when the Africans staying next door say something like "Hey! Pretty girl. How are you?" to me. As if I know them like that. Makes me feel so insecured staying here.
Never mind. I'm shifting anyways. Keke. Cant wait.

Double rainbows
Such a rare beauty having two rainbows lying parallel by each other. They brightened up my mood that day.
Today while working, when me and Y heard over the radio that the petrol price might be decreasing by 15 cents next week, both of us cheered so loud that CY was wondering what happened to us.
Please drop again and then I can buy more clothes. Muahaha.
----------
Talking about clothes, I went to Padini warehouse sales with my colleagues during lunch time today. It's a walking distance from my company. How convenient!
And guess what? All items are RM6 per piece!!! Yes! I mean the tops, jeans, pants, slippers, heels, bags, dress, skirts, shoes, belts, scarves etc etc etc... You name it, they have it! Rm6 per piece for all these, each! Only some minority items are RM13 per piece. But, that also is considered cheap!
Some of the clothes are out-of-shape already but some still looks new and untouched. Some heels are thrown out and looks old but some are still nicely placed in the shoebox along with the white paper. Belts are kept in plastic bags, each belt in a plastic bag.
I got myself 7 items! Inclusive of:
2 T-shirts (the top one is Padini Authentics one. White colour, length until butt, thick and elastic, quality good; the bottom one is Seed. Dark yellow colour actually, normal length but fit ngam ngam my shoulder, nice!)
2 spaghetti stripes (The top one is P&Co's. The bottom one is Padini Authentics', S size but it's very wide, have to do some minor sewing)
1 spaghetti halter top (this one is M size but surprisingly fit. Dunno what brand one.)
1 mini skirt (P& Co's. Saw this one from far when I was walking towards the counter. This is the skirt I always wanted to buy!!! And then told myself if this was L or XL size I will just forget about it. But it's M size! So I couldn't resist it. =P)
And 1 knee-length dress (Seed's)! Can wear to dinner! lol.. RM6 for a dress! Like WTH?!?!
Guess how much I spent on these in total?
RM42 only! Oh My Gawd.. RM42 couldn't even get me a normal price Padini shorts. lol.
Hehe.. actually I haven't got enough shopping from Padini warehouse sales. Wanna shop again for the junks. I saw one really nice slippers and scarf on some lady's hand when I was paying at the counter but I had not enough time to squeeze back and find the slipper and scarf. So I gave up.
p/s: This is not an ad. lol. I'm just too excited. And satisfied with my purchases. =P
I was supposed to post about the yamcha and meet up with the girls one. Forgot. Hehe.
Went Pyramid with Aud and Get Pei to watch Batman few days ago. But we watched The Mummy instead. It was a funny movie la. I won't say it's a good movie. Coz Michelle Yeoh speaks English with her own daughter. Very weird. Coz both of them are acting as Chinese in the movie. Aren't they supposed to communicate in their own language?
Then we bumped into Shi Yun and Hin Kian after the movie. So, we went to yamcha at the Mamak in USJ17. =)
Roti tissue. Very very the long. lol. Need 3 plates to serve the roti. The roti is coated with sugar. I can use 4 words to describe this roti. Crunchy, thin, sweet and messy.
-------------------------------------
Then Wednesday went to meet Woan Yng at Pyramid coz she had training nearby on that day.
Dunno what happen to me that day. I bought chocolate-coated marshmallows. Just feel like eating something sweet to make myself feel better.
Get Pei took a photo of me posing with the marshmallow.
Very nice Korean Restaurant in Pyramid.
Woan Yng din wanna pose for me. Sob sob.
Get Pei looks matured with her specs.
Oh my goodness. Who is this? Very wat-tat look. Haha. A "fatt hao" pose requested by Woan Yng. Doesn't look like fatt hao at all.
-----------------------------
Met up Maui last Friday. He was trying to console me, but he said so many nice things about Heng until I miss Heng again. Sigh. Dunno how Heng is doing now....
After eating dinner at KimGary, I went to buy bro's birthday present. Got him a cap at Wild Channel. =)
The cap looks so well-designed that I cant take it off from my head. Heehee.
---------------------------
Yesterday after my tuition, I went to Pyramid wanted to buy the multipurpose cooker to replace the spoiled multipurpose cooker at home. Coz I saw one very cheap Pensonic cooker at RM90 only! Somemore got two compartments, top and bottom. Top part is for steaming bottom for stir-frying and frying. The main purpose of buying a multipurpose cooker is because rice cooker cannot fry eggs.
But I forgot to buy the cooker. I went shopping for bag and slipper instead. Gosh. Sometimes I hate myself.
But considered reasonable la. Coz the bag I always bring to almost everywhere is broken, and the slipper I always wear also broken. So I bought a bag from those chapalang stalls at RM59.90 and a pair of slippers in Vincci at RM20 (RM30% discounted!! =P).
But in the progress of buying bag and slipper, I bought a shorts in Padini at RM44.50 (50% discount) Hmmm.. Blame the MegaSales la. hehehe..
And I bought a 31 x 31 cm box in MiniToons at RM12.90. I always wanted to get a box to put my soft toys so that they no need to lie everywhere on the floor in my room. =)
