To release the gauge...

I know why I like blogging already.

There's some times when you feel like talking to someone or telling someone your recent undertakings but there's no one there free to talk (like now). And you don't have the mood to do anything else except finding a way to release the gauge. And sometimes, the stories I tell through conversations are always a simpler version coz I don't want to put them to sleep.

And this is what a blog can offer. A place to put down whatever you want to tell the person without putting them to sleep. So that when they are free, they can drop by the blog and have a read. If the entry is too long, one can choose to stop reading the entry or continue the other day.

And, sometimes many things happen in a few days and I can't just accumulate the stories and tell them like presenting a report because we have to also consider the time we sometimes might gone off the topic. Maybe after the first story both of us might had gone way too far. And again, I don't want to put people to sleep in the conversation.

But sometimes, when I'm half way blogging about the stories I wanted to tell them, they suddenly appears. And at these times, I don't feel like repeating the stories all over again. So, I continue to blog and sort of ignore them, and hope they would read my blog later. Sometimes blogging haywire my social world.

But, then again, what did I mentioned just now? Blogging is a way to keep updating my friends and my love ones. Especially when my love one has a time zone so different from mine. Blogging is inevitable. And my love one, you gotta get used to my blogging habit because this blog is mainly for you. keke... So dun fret when I'm busy blogging. =P

Log check was cool yesterday coz I got to know new people. =D And they are nice people. Some more they help me to scare away the salesperson. The salesperson is very scary la. I already said duwan he still knock on my car window. Very scary lo. I think he's not a salesperson la. More like an undercover robber.

Luckily Vincent not yet drove off. So Vincent and Ming Kit came out of the car and stared at the guy. Then when the guy realized that my friends were watching him, he just walked away. Such a weird salesperson. Maybe he really is an undercover robber.

Had swimming training last night for 2.5 hours! It was really long and tiring. But I like it! I like last night training because I finally corrected my freestyle. And my 100m improved! I finished 100m in 136 secs, which means 14 seconds improvement. Yeay! But 36 seconds more to go la. lol. And I also manage to throw the ropes both 2-handed and 1-handed techniques without tangling the rope!

I was so happy with my freestyle last night that I kept swimming freestyle and didn't feel tired at all in the pool. When I reached home I even told myself that I still can swim 3 laps. And then, right after having some breads as supper (because was really hungry after swimming), I suddenly felt drowsy. lol...

Yesterday CK asked me why I want to learn life saving. All I could think of is "Coz I love swimming".

My initial reason -that life saving is so cool when you can jump into the water and show off that you can save people- is no longer appropriate.

After learning life saving, I feel that life saving is now more like a challenge to myself to swim faster and with better stamina than just to be cool and superior than others. I'm beating my own record every time and I love it when I beat my own record.

But there are times when not failing competing with others is like an award of assurance I give myself after all the self-challenging hard work. Hehe. Shuushh! Stop thinking this way. I won't improve anymore if I keep comparing. And stop being arrogant. No I'm not! Hehe. But having the 'award' once in a while is healthy la. =P

lol. I better stop now before I start contradicting myself. Anyway. I'm setting my target to less than 120 seconds next 100m swim. =D

Dr Mahathir's blog

I think everyone must have known that Dr Mahathir is starting to blog. I added the link to his blog in my left column already.

Here's a quote from CP which she thinks is interesting. Okla. I think it's pretty true also la.

Young bloggers become politicians; Old politicians become bloggers.

See. Over the pass few years when instant messaging and blogging are fast evolving, people has started to use this new method to convey their thoughts on politics.

Argh. Running out of time to discuss about this statement. Going to the log check soon. I leave it to you all to think yourselves la. hehe.

The long known secret?

Yesterday went to swimming class again. Was surprised that my ex-partner is back! So since instructors were all busy with other students, we practiced ourselves. We competed freestyle 25m too! Three times some more! I was shocked by my own achievement, coz I've never swim that fast before. Hehe. Happy happy!

But my instructor told me although I swim fast but my freestyle is still not 100% correct. =( She say actually for life saving any style also you can perform as long as you can beat the time but since you want to teach swimming after you get the cert you have to make sure your styles are correct. Stressed man.

Din do 100m yesterday coz was very tired already. But 300 m and underwater swim was okay for me already. No problem with them.

Have I told you here that I bought 3 books from the MPH stock clearance sales? Next by Michael Crichton (RM24.00), 101 Great Answers to the Toughest Interview Questions by Ron Fry (RM18.00) and the very very famous The Secret (hardcover) by Rhonda Byrne (RM56). So I spend a total of RM93 in books. Hmm. I better go get back the receipt from the dustbin so that I can claim income tax next year. =P

(click the book for more info)

I saw this Secret book on the shelf and I know it's about Law of Attraction. I read online that it's really motivational. And I really want it because the whole book is finely packaged. lol. But I saw the price in Popular bookstore before this and it was not cheap (if not mistaken more than RM70). So when I realized it's RM56 in the sales I couldn't control myself from grabbing it from the shelf and then couldn't let go of the book. I made a sin. lol.

Eh? While writing this entry, I went to Shelfari which I had long abandoned. =P And check on the book review on the Secret. A lot readers are not very satisfied with the book wor. They say it's very much like a normal motivational book. They say it's not actually a secret also coz a lot of motivational books had already mentioned it. Some even say it's worse than a normal motivational book and it's so famous because of marketing gimmicks.

Die liao. I think I really made a great sin by buying it with such price. Argh. Nevermind. I can use the receipt to deduct my next year income tax. Maybe it might motivate me in some ways that "How-to" book can't le. But I really like my "How-To" book now. I'm worried that the How-To book is better written than the Secret.

Argh. Dunno la dunno la. Just read la.

Hmm. Since I talked about books already. Might as well talk about movie as well.

Recently, I watched this movie called The escape from Huang Shi (a.k.a The children of Huang Shi) cast by Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Radha Mitchell, Yun-Fat Chow and Michelle Yeoh. This movie is inspired by true events with the historical background of Japanese occupation of China in 1937 (南京大屠杀).

Although there are two Chinese actor/ actress in the movie, but the story is mainly about how good a contribution of a white man to the kids from Huang Shi. This movie touched me. And the effort the guy took to really raise the spirits of the kids in their haunting experiences of losing their own parents. If there really was such man, I really salute him for that because raising one's spirit from such haunted experience is already very hard, what'smore he raise 60 spirits, summore during a war.

The best thing about this movie is that, like the 911 movie (if I'm not wrong with the name), there's some "proofs" from the kids, who are already in their 80-90s now, appreciating what the guy taught them in life.

This is a must watch movie. =)

Labour's Hour

It's Labour Day today! I really need that. Had been running here and there and didn't really rest since last Saturday. I want to have a peaceful day today, at least one afternoon, lying on the bed reading the "how to" book maybe.

Saturday - Woke up at 8am, Tuition at 10am. Finish tuition at 4pm. Go Pyramid lepak a while so that I can go straight to Monash at 7pm. Had one stick of lukluk as dinner. Left Monash at 9pm, exhausted. Fetch CP back from Monash at 11pm. Looked for direction to go to the Mobil station near Sg Besi. Hungry. Cooked ramen as supper. Slept at 1am.

Sunday - Woke up at 5.30am. Went out to fetch Keen, New and her roommate at 6 sth-7 am. Reached Mobil at 7.15am. Departed from Mobil towards Datuk at 7.45am. Climbed Datuk at 9.10am. Came down at 3 sth pm. Had dinner in Seremban and then reached USJ at 8 sth pm. Too tired to do anything else. Slept at 10 pm.

Monday - Went out for interview at 7.30am. Only reached interview venue at a freaking far place called Jalan Pahang (near Titiwangsa LRT station there) at 9.30am. Then interviewed until 11am. Went to KLCC to wait for Zhuang for lunch at 11.30. Then 12.15pm Zhuang called so I went to find her for lunch. Reached USJ at 2 sth pm and prepared Chemistry tuition materials for my 'kids'. Left home at 4pm and reached One U at 4.55pm. Had dinner and reached home at 8.30pm. Prepared for 'kids' tuition material then sleep.

Tuesday - Went to work. Finish work at 5pm as usual go Monash fetch CP and back to USJ and reached USJ at 5.45. Had 3 slices of bread (because no time to eat already). Left USJ at 6.10pm estimating the traffic jam will drag me extra 10 mins (i.e. 40 mins to reach OUG). Dropped CP at opposite pyramid on the way to tuition, then reached tuition at 6.55pm at my aunt's place, get the key, and reached tuition place at 7.05pm. Was late for 5 mins. Regretted that din go straight to OUG from work. Finish tuition at 8.15pm. Came back and finally relieved that I can have some rest. But got stuck to the PC to write the update on the Dato' climb. Then only able to sleep at 12 sth am. Din have a rest anyway.

Wednesday - Went to work. And then suddenly was told that I will be having interview in the afternoon at 2pm. It was already 10am. But because there's an MPH stock clearance sales and promised myself I want to go on specifically this day because there's additional 5% discount for MPH members, I went. Went at 10.45am. Reached there at 11.15am. Reached my office at noon and rushed for interview straight away. Reached there at 1.15pm. Drove out to buy a bread as lunch. Went back interview at 1.30pm. Finished interview at 3pm. Rush back office coz hav something to sort out. Reached office at 3.40pm. Sort things until forgot the time and left at 5.30pm. Went back to the book fair and buy German dictionary for CP. Jump on the car again at 6pm. Bought Kebab and ate in my car while driving because was too hungry. Got stuck in the jam and reached home at 7.15pm. Showered and do some chores and went to Kepong with Get Pei and Vincent at 8pm. Reached Kepong at 9pm. Had BBQ dinner at Woan Yng's house. Came back at 1.15am. Reach home at 2am. Dun care already. Duwan shower and all already. Just threw myself onto the bed. lol.

So.. See. I desperately need some time to rest man. All my free times are in my car. Only when waiting for traffic light, I can finally read my "how-to" book and rest. And I sometimes only have time to eat when I'm in my car.

But now it seems like I wasted half of my Labour's Day already. I really need to shut down my PC and have a good rest. And then the hussle will have to begin again coz I have to prepare the kids material again.

Labour's day (Today) - Woke up at 11.30am. Went for lunch with CP until 12.30pm. Went to Sportswear sales in Sunway looking for paddle for swimming. Dun have. So came back at 1.30pm. Write blog until now (3pm) since then. My back and waist protested that they need to have a rest.

Ok. I go sleep already. After wake up I can't rest already coz the coming Friday, Saturday and Sunday are already fully-scheduled. Friday got life saving class, Saturday got tuition, Sunday going for the log check for IW preparation.

God! Can you please give me a day which I can stay home and do nothing but only hav some hot honey, with serene music on and lie on the bed whole day without work on my mind. Give me a day which I dun need to prepare the kids material, no need to go for life saving class, no need to think about work, no need to go anywhere. Just a book, some music and a refreshing drink.

I just know today is not going to be a free day for me either. Students are having exam next week. How can I relax?

Have to prepare the questions for them already.

Giving myself a one hour nap. And there goes my Labour's Day. Or is it Labour's Hour?
