Kimchi jjigae crave again

To be frank, I don't like blogging now. Because Facebook has been substituting blogging. I got to post nice photos with captions explaining my feelings and thinking, why do I still need a blog right? What good about blog is that I can express more as compared with FB (Coz i dun post notes in FB), but what if I say I don't want to let people know in detail what I'm thinking? Hehe. Then there's no point in blogging, right?

Ah.. right.. There's one good thing about blog though. I can at least trace back easily what I had posted even back to the ancient years. FB can't do that. FB has all the new events overlapping on top of old events, and hence making it hard (Or impossible?) to search back the photo or article or wall post.

So actually, I wanna list down the Korean restaurants I wanna visit to test their kimchi jjigae and beef BBQ here so that it'll be easy for me to trace back and also I can share my opinions here with Korean food lovers out there, and vise versa, too.

According to the website I found, there are a few restaurants which are highly rated:

1. Bulgogi BBQ House, Kota Damansara, PJ
2. Daorae, USJ Taipan (Tried pork BBQ but it was too long ago, I forgot how it tastes already)

3. Seoul Garden, Bandar Utama

4. Daorae, Desa Sri Hartamas

5. Haeun Khan, Persiaran Barat PJ

6. Kung Jung, Jln Bukit Bintang

7. Dae Jang Gum Korean BBQ, Bandar Puteri Puchong

8. Gomone, Ampang

9. Seoul Korea, Taman Danao Desa (Tried BBQ pork and beef, and kimchi jjigae. Kimchi jjigae was disappointing, BBQ was so-so. But I love the fried peanut with sugar banchan!! =D)

According to recommendation from ajussi (my Korean language classmate who isn't a Korean, obviously):

1. Korea House, SS2
2. A Korean restaurant in Taipan which is not Daorae (Either Dae Jang Gum or Han Woo Ri)
3. A very Korean style Korean restaurant which serve a book of kimchi cabbage in Sri Hartamas I guess (need to ask Ajussi to confirm what's the name.. lol)

I think I'll start with Daorae @ Taipan first. Can't wait to eat kimchi jjigae again!!

Fasten it

Life is too busy and too full of colours until I dun have time to jot them down one by one. For example, preparation of IW. I'm very involved in the camp team! ^^ At first was kinda reluctant to be responsible in so many things one. But after really put my hands in the planning and stuff along with Vincent, it gave a sense of satisfaction =)

And then now also involved in Nuke Off. We are looking for 10K ppl to become fan of the FB page to proof to our government that we don't want nuclear plant in our beloved country. Please support yea! =)

And then gathering with Korean classmates. And gathering with Raleigh people almost at least twice a week. Having a night to myself is almost impossible. But I like this life. Coz I feel very dynamic and energetic when I do all these! Better than staying at home staring at FB wasting my life.. =)

-

Okay. Actually the main purpose of blogging today is to talk about what I saw just now in the afternoon.

When I finished washing the cooking utensils and pots with Raleigh ppl at Bukit Jalil, I drove back home. Then at the Puchong-Bukit Jalil road, I saw right in front of my eyes a motorcycle accelerated onto a car's back! And the motor bounced up in the air. So were the motorist and his female partner! And then there were cars emergency braked and produced lots of smoke. It was a mess in front.

So I slowed down and eventually stopped by the roadside since the motor and motorist and the lady were lying on the middle of the road. And people started to came down from the car to help move them away to clear the traffic. So, before the traffic was cleared, I stopped right beside the road, staring at the incident on my right side, with shocked and pale face. I can feel that my face was pale coz I felt dizzy when I saw the blood flushing out from the motorist head. I got blood and wounds phobia... I think I was too dizzy to even drive.

The lady lay head down over the motorist's body, unconscious. The motorist was conscious with half-opened eyes but his head was covered with blood. >.< Even thinking about it makes me dizzy now... With the help of 2 good Samaritans, the cars started to move slowly away from the incident. So I followed, didn't dare to look at the wounded when passed by them.

And then all the way from that incident till my house, I drove 50 km/hr. My legs felt feeble, head still a bit dizzy. Urgh... This is the first accident that happened right in front of my eyes. Last time I only saw crashed cars or body lying beside the road waiting for aid. But this time, I saw it happen right there, right then.

That was really really haunting..

Moral of the story, do not speed. And be sure secure your helmet when you ride a motorcycle. I dun remember whether the motorist got wear helmet or not la.. But according to what I saw (head covered with blood and all) I think it's either he didn't wear helmet or he didn't fasten the belt.

So all motorist out there! That belt can save your life! Fasten it!

Reviving my blog..

Whoa.. I almost forget I have a blog!

OK la.. I'm back!

Just came back from my 5th yoga class. At first I was really reluctant to register for the class. Coz I think the class will bore me. I registered because can't stand my mum nag me almost everyday about how yoga can benefit me. So I gave up.. lol. Summore I wanna change my body posture. I feel that my posture is starting to get worse. I looked like gorilla when I walk and stand.. lol..

The yoga poses are too hard for me. I was thinking of giving up on yoga after having strained my body to do the poses during my 3rd class. But, after 4th class I started to notice my standing posture is better now. More straighten up. =) Now I think yoga is worth the hard work and pain. Now I kinda like it already. And the poses have became interesting challenges which makes me feel adrenalin pumping when I visualize myself achieving them.

Wish my postures will be all straighten up after yoga. =)

Just came back from steamboat at Yuen @ Bdr Sunway with the girls because Steven and his fiance came Malaysia. Steven has to come Malaysia every 3-4 months, if not he will feel something in his life is not right. Hahaha.. He loves Malaysia too much already. =P

As usual, the procedure is eat + chitchat + gossiping about all the lecturers in uni last time + talking about career future + Malaysia and Indonesia market nowadays.. Whoa.. Very deep conversation, but I like to listen to this kind of informative chats. =)

-

Yesterday someone say I look like kampung girl when he looked through my long hair photos in FB. =.=

Maybe I should stick to my short hair already. Aunt says short hair suits me. ^^ She say I look more energetic with short hair.

Short hair nice also. No need to really maintain it. No need to care whether I need to tie it up, where did I put the hairband, whether it's too kembang during hot and humid weather and no need to wait too long for it to dry after shower.. etc etc.. I'm loving it! =)

Next Sunday Ekiden race already. Die. I not yet train lo.. Die Die Die..

Kimchi Jjigae crave not fulfilled

Got bitten by tiny creatures called chiggers from the forest.. Got around 10-ish of them. Ewww. I've killed them all already. But the chemical they release to dissolve my skin tissue (they suck the dissolved skin tissues as food) makes me feel so itchy!! According to the internet source, the itch will vanish after 2-3 days. Let's hope it will be okay by tomorrow or the day after. >.<"

Hmm.. My bites not so serious la.. No red spots.. Just a black dot only. =.=

Next time I'm gonna spray lotsa insect repellent when I'm in jungle. ><

Just now when at work the fire exploded in front of my eyes. My face can even feel the heat. It was that close! I was totally shocked and watched the Bunsen burner burn for few seconds, stunned. Then only suddenly realized if the fire spread to the gas cylinder bigger explosion would occur.

Being stupid, I blew the fire off. =.=" And being even more stupid, I didn't remove the hose from the cylinder and didn't turn off the knob at the cylinder. So, the gas continued flowing out. Luckily I didn't faint. And lucky no one was injured.

Today I had dinner at a Korean restaurant, Daorae, at Sri Petaling with Chung Ming Oppa (I call him oppa is because there isn't anyone who can let me call oppa here.. hehehe..). He just came back from NZ. Since I feel like eating kimchi jjigae, might as well ask him to go along with me, shun bian can meet him. =)

The food was a huge disappointment. Why? First of all, I've been craving for kimchi jjigae since 2 days ago. And then when I know I'm going to eat Korean food tonight I started to smell the kimchi jjigae in the air since 3pm at work. But when I took the first sip. Spiciness = obso, kimchi taste = obso. It was sweet, but not spicy at all! This is the first time I eat kimchi jjigae I dun even need to drink water at all! Really disappointed.

(Half-eaten only took this pic.. sorry for the mess)

And then the deokboggi (Rice cake) was also a disappointment. The sauce was tasteless. Again, it's not spicy! What's wrong with their Korean food? Why all not spicy one? Are they trying to adjust the level to those of Malaysians? Even I, someone who can't really eat spicy food, can drink the kimchi jjigae soup without aid of water, there's really something wrong with the spiciness lo. Sigh... Really disappointed.

(This is taken when both of us duwan to take in the deokboggi anymore)

Refuse to give up on the soup yet, I asked the waiter to give me gojujang (chili paste) so that I can add it to the soup to add some spiciness to it. But when they gave me their claimed gojujang.. it tasted like soy bean paste. =.=" We then asked them whether they gave us duen jang. They showed us duen jang which is brown colour and they claimed that that gojujang is really gojujang.. The disappointment was doubled with the gojujang.. Sigh...

I will never ever go back to that shop anymore. Maybe the next one I will go Taipan Daorae try their kimchi jjigae. Maybe find some time after work go there alone. Keke..

This Stingose is damn good for leech bites itchiness! You can get it in any pharmacy in Malaysia. It can even be used for serious stings and bites like from bees, jellyfish and some other insects, just to ease the pain or itchiness. Further medication or hospitalization is needed if toxins are involved.

噢... 好累... 我要睡了。晚安! ^^
