Lion dance fail

Gong Xi Fa Chai!! I know I'm late. But, according to the Chinese religion, I'm not supposed to celebrate Chinese New Year ma. So this year actually I totally can't feel the CNY mood. Not many angpows coz I cannot visit people with the purpose of CNY.

So, yea, actually I wanted to upload the video of the lion dance we had in my company yesterday. But the line was very slow. Maybe I should try uploading it overnight? How about that? Hehe. This lion dance is not a normal one lo. It's not an outstanding one either. I would say they are very very not professional. Have you seen two lions talking to each other when performing? lol. And even other person in charge also speak something into the lion's ear when they were performing.. Hrmph?? And worst of all was the lion fell down when it was trying to eat the angpow at the front door of my company. =.= I know the ceiling was very high la. But it was my first time watching a lion falling down during a performance.

My CNY holiday was a very plain one. Most of the time I was sleeping. lol. Too many mosquitoes needs my donation at night, around average of 5 mosquitoes every night. So the next morning I felt like I've never slept the night before. So after tahan for the whole morning helping my mum with the chores I slept through the afternoon after lunch time until dinner time. lol... Since I didn't need to do any visit, most of the time I just stayed at home ma, stay at home nothing much to do, no PC, ma sleep lo.

Here's the short video of Lion Dance Fail. Have Fun!

(This video is finally successfully uploaded after "incubation" overnight. =P)

Happy Chinese New Year!!

Huahaha!!! I'm using my bro's iPhone to blog!! It's so hard to type...

It's CNY already, but because my grandma passed away a month ago, we cannot celebrate CNY this year... Can't visit friends and relatives, hence not much thing to do this CNY... So most of the time I just stay at home and make nice food with my mum. Just now we just made some tangyuan as lunch.

Anyway, I'm gonna have a good nap now. Happy Tiger year! :)

I'm back!! =P

So long never blog already. I've been busy with life, mostly working life. Recently OT quite a lot. And when I have time I would watch the Chinese drama called Shen Hua (神话) by Hu Ge (胡歌).

This story is about 2 guys accidentally opened a box from Qing's Dynasty and fell 2000 years back to Qing Dynasty. When I watch this drama I can't help myself from reading the history of Qing Dynasty. lol.. Now I know more about Qin Shi Huang (秦始皇), Xiang Yu (项羽) and Liu Bang (刘邦) already.

I wanted to blog about a lot of things these two weeks, but dun have the time. Like for example the CNY fortune note I got from the monthly meeting saying that I am likely to meet someone I've longed to meet. I'm curious who would that be? Lee Jun Ki? lol...

This month's meeting was picnic at Bukit Jalil park. The picture says I was enjoying massage from Shi Wei. =P

And I wanted to blog about the Putrajaya Night Marathon I went last Saturday. I went for the 7.7km run. Only the first 400 runners will get a medal. I didn't get the medal. Sigh. Run 5 minutes faster then I was chewing on the medal already. What to do, I didn't train at all before the run, what should I expect? The last 2 km was the most hilarious run I had. My running speed was the same with those walking beside me. =.= That was how slow I run during the last 2km. lol...

I finished it in around 1 hour

The next day when I got to know that my neighbour uncle finished the run at 37 minutes (51st) and aunty finished at 51 minutes (96th), I felt so ashamed. Suddenly I felt challenged... Then hor, Sunday met Adam and Yen Jun. When Adam told me that he exercises everyday before and after work, I felt more ashamed. Once upon a time I was quite fit one. Since few months ago when I started to catch cold and diarrhea and etc etc, I stopped all my activities. I had been away from aerobic (cardio) exercises for some time already. I can feel my lung capacity shrinking until nil now lo.. It gets so bad that when I breathe in I can't feel I'm breathing. And now I have flabby arm muscles.. and leg muscles. Sigh.. So unfit lo.. I need to do something already.

And hehe... I bought a pair of new sporty-look swimming goggles. Hehe..

So I'll start with my regular weekly swimming again starting after CNY. Sigh, my company is so far from Pusat Akuatic Darul Ehsan (PADE) now and I dun like 3K swimming pool (too crowdy). I know I keep complaining la. But I miss PADE lo... Miss the big and deep indoor pool. Very good for training, and cheaper if compared with Bukit Jalil swimming pool. And Bukit Jalil swimming pool is not as big and as deep as PADE pool lo... But if I am to go for swimming after work, I would have to squeeze my way through the traffic jam back to Glenmarie and then to Shah Alam for the pool. Not worth it.. Sigh. If I want to swim after work like what I did last time I have to learn to tolerate 3K pool la.. Or I should just swim during the weekend.

Oh by the way, I found that many people were looking for the schedule of Pusat Akuatik Darul Ehsan (PADE) and Bukit Jalil swimming pool. So I thought I should just share the schedule here so that everyone can check both schedules in one page. Easier to plan your time, right? =)

1 is better than 2?

Just came back from meeting Chee Hui whom I would say is my closest hometown friend. Watched drama in her room until I dun feel like leaving. Feel comfortable being with her. =) But sometimes will feel like just came back from a war because she talks like bullet. Hehe.

Forgot to pay back the dinner to her. Oops.. Have to treat her back the next time. =)

Recently there's a song called "Two is better than one" by Boys Like Girls.

When I'm listening to this song a very peaceful thought came to me:

I dunno about two is better than one. But I feel at ease being 'one'. =)

I dun feel that lonely at all already! Being single is no longer dreadful to me already. I feel free and relaxed =) This feel so much different from few weeks ago when I felt unwanted, lonely, isolated especially when I saw couples walking by.

I had this change of mind few days after I set my 2010 new year resolution which is to let go of those stupid lonely feeling about being single. And thanks to the line Zhuang shared with me "If I cannot be with myself, then I'm not good enough to go anywhere by myself". I find this line easier to catch when changed to "If I cannot be with myself, then I'm not good enough to do anything alone". This line is like a powerful force, pushing me to be independent emotionally.

After I've changed my thinking, the whole world I see have become so much more friendlier. And couples in public places look so sweet and I even started to give blessings to them in my heart. =)

I just realized that I was once like this too, happy with everything around me. Even sunshine can cheer me up. Dunno since when I started to feel gloomy with everything. Nothing seemed to satisfy me.

But now, the cheerful Heay is back! I'm so glad I manage to find myself. In a more proper way, I finally respect myself. =)

Go Yink Heay! Aza!

Esophagitis

I felt my throat is blocked when I swallow anything, including water, since last Sunday. Then Monday, I started to have chest pain. I thought it's because of my grieving for my grandma's death. So I thought I should just let the grieving pass first and see whether the pain continues.

Yesterday went to see doctor. The moment I told the doctor I feel my throat is blocked when I swallow food or water, she blurted out that this is Esophagitis. And then she asked whether I had acidic food before that. I didn't. Then we both agreed that it's the late dinner I had recently due to OT at work. This month I had been eating dinner at 9 something. No more late dinners next time... Hmmm...

Note:
Esophagitis is inflammation of the esophagus. It is mainly due to gastroesophageal reflux, meaning gastric juice went upwards to the esophagus and hence damaging the esophagus. That means each time I swallow food it's actually squeezing through the injured esophagus before entering the stomach. OMG I dun even dare to imagine what happen in there.

And then I look up gastroesophageal reflux in wikepedia. The symptoms of the reflux are:
1. Heartburn ()
2. Regurgitation (, got that yesterday before I had lunch)
3. Trouble swallowing ()
4. Pain with swallowing ()
5. Excessive salivation (X)
6. Nausea (, today I feel like vomiting before lunch time)
7. Chest pain ()

Doctor said this will take long time to heal. Sigh.. I hope it heals faster. Nowadays I dun even have the mood to eat nice food coz I feel pain swallowing so what's the point of eating nice food when you'll only suffer instead of enjoying it? =(

Yesterday went to have a fast shopping at Pyramid after work. Fast shopping means I had a buying list and I pre-plan the route in the mall for me to buy all the things listed in the list.

One of the items in my list is "cold colour clothes". According to Chinese culture, I should not wear warm colours (e.g. red, purple, orange, yellow) within the 100 days after the death of close relatives. I haven't been following this rule but this time I want to wear cold colour (e.g. blue, green, grey, white, black, beige) clothes for 100 days because I want to show respect for my dearest grandma.

I know mum would say "die already you do what also no use, you should have treat her well when she's still alive". I know I haven't been going back to hometown to visit her as often as I wish, and haven't been calling her for a chat as frequent as I should, but I'm satisfied because every time when I was with grandma, I did my best. =)

So back to my story, I want to wear cold colour clothes for 100 days which is until 24th April but I only have 5 cold colour clothes. One green and 4 white. (minus the green Raleigh Tee which I definitely will not wear it to work, too obvious la the R.. shy shy to wear outside Raleigh. hehehe..). I just realized that my pink and yellow clothes are dominating my closet. Now think about it, last time I wear pink and yellow almost everyday. lol..

That was why cold colour clothes was in my buying list. Yesterday when I passed by MNG yesterday during the fast shopping, I saw a very big "Clearance Sales" word on the glass window. 20 minutes later I came out with 2 cold colour tops (one light beige, one black). Love it so much and it didn't cost much, just an average of RM45 each. It's considered very cheap for MNG apparels.
