As Smooth As Silk

I've rebonded my hair! Yoohoo!!

As smooth as silk I must say. lol.

That was a birthday present from my mum.


I love my hair very much now. Coz I can say the sentence "my hair is as smooth as silk" now. Ngek ngek. And I love touching it, and flipping it, and twirling it. Hehe... but of course I hope over-doing it won't get my hair got twisted up and got out of shape lah...

Now say bye-bye to my bad hair. Hehe.



BUH-BYEEE!!



BUT, sitting there for 5 hours made my neck stiff like having a casting on my neck. And I'm sure because of this I got my bad headache which tortured me for the last few days.


In spite of my headache, I went to the brand new Garden at Mid Valley with my aunt's family.

The Garden is a high-class shopping mall. Very much like Lot 10 in KL. They've got Banana Republic, Gap, CK, Court and a very weird shop name called Fat Face. ALL DAMN EXPENSIVE LO. Haih... They don't even have MNG, Zara and Top Shop there. So sad. I dun hav the "coly" to shop there.

The Garden is perfectly renovated though. Here's some of the nice scenes in The Garden.

The bridges here and there a bit not organized lo. Maybe they purposely make it this way one. Looks like Subang Parade. But the bridges in The Garden only connect same level.





Don't look at me. Look at the deco on top. Yea. The flake-like structure. I like it, especially the shadow beneath them.





See the shadow. Nice right? Clever architect.






It was Raya. This explains the crowd. See the top-right corner. There were small beads of lights flashing on and off. I'm sure it sure looks magnificent at night. =)

And see the criss-cross bridge. I'm sure they purposely one.





Dun look at the "takraw ball" hanging here. Those are normal.

THEY EVEN HAVE SCULPTURE IN THE MALL!! NICE... I love sculptures. Hehe..





My aunt and Zhuang standing in front of a large nice wallpaper. It's the wallpaper used to cover a renovating shoplot. Summore their wallpapers are all different. And all are nice and clear printings.

(a small hint to Sunway Pyramid: "Sorry for the inconvenience. We are changing to serve you better" is outdated already. Try putting nice wallpapers at the shopfront to make us feel less like we are walking in a construction site. lol)

I know I sound like a kid drooling over boybands. But, DBSK members are all very friendly and fun and cute and modest.

Several things you can learn from Korean dramas

Though I love Korean drama very very much. After watching those ever-saddening Korean dramas, I told myself to prevent watching dramas which have actors or actresses with cancer or diseases, or dramas where brothers and sisters fell in love. I had enough of those scenes. Repeating the stories didn't make the drama any better.

I guess everyone thinks the same too. That's why people come out with this list of funny statement. Haha...

I copied parts from a blog http://www.villageblogger.com/saeyun/. I omitted those which dun sound funny to me.

Here goes:

1) If you have a best guy friend, he is in love with you. And secretly you are too.

2) You and your boyfriend will always playfully chase each other on an ice rink, at the beach, or in the leaves. And you'll laugh for no reason and your boyfriend will hit you "playfully" but the force of his push will have you flying across the room. But it's okay. Cuz you're still laughing like a crazy person.

3) Brothers/cousin/uncles-newphews will always love the same girl.

4) You're allowed to make u-turns wherever you want in Korea. And there is never traffic on the side you want to u-turn to.

5) There is a super quick payment device that allows you to pay a bill quickly enough for a guy to run immediately out of a restaurant after his angry girlfriend storms out.

6) Everyone has cancer.

7) If you're rich, you're a jerk.

8) If you're poor, you're an angel.

9) Women sleep and wake up with a full set of makeup on.

10) You're not studying hard enough unless you get a nosebleed.

11) If you have a nosebleed, you most definitely have cancer. And you have no money to pay for the surgery that will save your life. And your liver is missing. We're not sure where it went, but it's making your cancer progress faster.

12) If you TRULY love each other, you must die together in the end. Frozen outside instead of finding shelter like sane people. Just frozen....

13) You go to America you come back miraculously successful. You go to England you come back amazingly fashionable. You stay in Korea the only thing that changes is your hairstyle.

14) And if you come back with no apparent reason then it's because you have cancer.

15) Everyone always goes to the same hospital no matter where they are.

16) If you stand out in the rain for more than five minutes, you'll end up with a fever and vertigo and people will rush you to the hospital to get some magic IV. And instead of taking an ambulance or driving they'll race you on their back.

17) Even if you're poor and can't eat, you never wear the same clothes twice.

18) If you're saving someone from being hit from a car, you'll push them out of the way and wait for the car to hit you instead. couldnt be more true, theyre like a deer in headlights

19) Everyone has a long lost sister/brother/twin. Usually one they didn't know about.

20) If you don't want to answer your phone, you can't just turn it off. The battery
needs to be taken out.

21) If you're in a relationship, you must at one point leave and have your lover tearfully come RIGHT before you board the plane (vice versa applies as well. You can be the chaser). 60% of the time you see each other, the other 40% you're roaming around in circles and pass each other about six times, but miraculously never see them.

22) Girls will always storm off because they're mad and the guy will stoically grab them by the arm and swing them back- and by magic, not dislocate their shoulders.

23) Guys always look like they're 6 feet tall, even if they're only 5'10. Thank you camera angles.

24) Guys like to wear foundation, eyeliner and sometimes a smudge of lipliner.

25) You always get stuck in an elevator with someone who makes you feel uncomfortable. Even if there are six different elevators, you'll always be stuck in the same one with that bastard you hate (or just fought with).

26) Unless you're fabulously rich, your in-laws will always hate you

27) So will your sister-in-law.

28) A guy will always get the right size ring, even if you're never held hands.

29) People stare off into space and ponder a lot. They'll just stop in the middle of the road and watch a leaf on a tree for a good three minutes, and just ponder.

30) You'll get pregnant the first time you have sex.

31) If you overcome great obstacles to be together, one of you must die. Probably due to cancer.

Damn funny lo.

I love the one "Everyone has cancer" which is so true for those older version korean drama. Luckily nowadays Korean drama no more cancer actors and actresses. That's a good news.

Though I dun like cancer dramas I still like Korean dramas because of their language and of course the romanticism in the drama.


But, NO CANCER CASES PWWEASSSEE..

Being 23 is not bad at all....

....when you got a bunch of friends who are there with you and some who remember you on that day.

Yesterday was a very tiring but happy day. I remember the first thing I went home after the celebration was to sleep. Too tired. I think my besties who prepared the celebration for me were even more tired. Thanks a dozen. =)


The day started with a 2 hour chat with my significant dear. Then, the next morning the first words that came out from my mouth was "Oh!!! Die liao!!!!" (meaning "Oh damn" in my language). I was supposed to be in the car ready to pull off to work already. Instead, I was in my room muttering die liao while getting ready. I WAS LATE!!!

Then work was okay. I cleaned some of the benches and glasswares. And prepared lysozyme containing TE buffer. But, overall, I still have free time to browse on the net. Kehehe...



So after work I went back and waited for Get Pei and Vincent to come fetch me as planned. And of course it turned out my surprised birthday party in One Utama. But what did surprised me was the presents. Gosh... This is the first birthday I get this many presents I swear. =) I can't thank them enough for the table they gave me. Thanks WY for buying the table. I needed it very much after I've moved to my new room and actually planned to buy one after I get my first salary. I think I don't need to buy anymore now. Heehee...

And the clothes!! Yeah. Tops were always in my buying list because I don't have enough to wear to work. I wore almost the same T-shirts every week. Now I have plenty. Nyehehehe...



Love my besties so much. Thanks for being there for me during my big day. =) Thanks CP, Audrey, GP, WY, SY and Vincent. That was a memorable day for me. And for those who sent birthday wishes, thanks for remembering my birthday. I had some surprising wishes from people I just got to know, too. =)



I'll get the celebration pictures from CP some time later. I'll post them when I got them with me.


Till then. I gotta go grow my E. coli baby.

Sleeping on boat

Was reading Kenny Sia's blog. His new entry "Hallo, Halong Bay" on his visit to Halong Bay, Vietnam was interesting. According to him, "An overnight stay on the boat at Halong Bay is an experience I highly recommend. There's nothing more serence than waking up on a gently rocking boat amidst the morning drizzle surrounded by karst limestones."

Then in my mind I started picture the bed. What I imagined is something like this.



Then only I realised that I had never been sleeping on a boat before. I guess this experience will be very cool. Maybe I should put it in my wishing list. =)



It will be so nice waking up to see the endless sea and sky. And maybe some seabirds.



Of coz not for months la. Maybe 1-2 days I still can tolerate. Otherwise every day see the same view. Sien le....

My driving skills

I've driven to work for almost a week already. But my skills still need to be improved.

(1) Sometimes I almost reach people's butt already then only start braking.
(2) When I cut lane I always can't see those motorists coming (or maybe they speed?). Everyday almost bang them and always got horned by the motorists.
(3) When I reverse I seldom notice people walking behind my car.


Despite all these, I've improved some skills though.
(1) If there's no motorcycle between the car queues, cutting lanes is easy
(2) My car is manual. So stopping on a slope was hard. Now I find it easy. Can even use the clutch to balance the car on slope.
