War against aging

I was not afraid of getting old with all sorts of wrinkles on my face and white hairs on my head. Was.

Because of gradual influences from my fellow colleague Cheng Yee, I started to worry about aging. 2 years ago wrinkles started forming under my eyes but I didn't mind. Just applied some eye cream on and off whenever I feel like it. =P

These few months I feel the skin of my limbs starting to get drier and drier. Until can see the dried skin starting to chip off bit by bit especially my fingertips. Urgh. Really can't stand it this time.

And guess what? I bought my first ever skin repair cream today, just for my dry hands! Gosh, please tell me this is not the real Heay. Applying lotions and night cream every night before I sleep is totally un-Heay. But what to do, the aging process is slowly eating away my body!! Argh!~~ I duwan to become all wrinkled before 30.

Seriously I need to start some skin care thingy already. lol. So un-heay...

To start to war against aging, I bought today:

1. Eubos' hand repair and care cream
2. Skin Food's fresh juice toner

My next target will be a paste-like mask. Since last year, I've been using Elianto's masks (on and off also.. hehe) which are in pieces which cost RM6.90 per piece!! With the war declared, I'll have to constantly do mask every week. So I need a cheaper (but also good quality) mask. I heard one paste-like mask can be used for about one year and it costs around 100 bucks. Guess this is the wiser choice. No? Gotta go hunt for this thing this Sunday.

While shopping for my 'weapons' for the aging war in Pyramid, I saw something interesting at old wing.

Anlene was giving free bone check!

So I registered for the check and queued up for it. ^^

It just took me about 5 minutes. And my results was -0.7 within the range of -4.0 to +2.0.

-1.0 to +2.0 is low risk of Osteoporosis
-2.5 to -1.0 is medium risk of Osteoporosis
-4.0 to -2.5 is high risk of Osteoporosis

I almost fell in the range of medium risk. Hmm.. Should start drinking milk and eating yoghurt every day starting today. Another aging war declared. lol..

Ok. I going off for a glass of milk and then my dreamland. Hope tonight can dream of the nice wooden chalet with a huge glass French window facing a deep forest again.

25000 people die of hunger everyday...

Just watched a very meaningful and tear-teasing video recommended by Soon.

Chicken a la Carte by Ferdinand Dimadura

Need I say more?

People are dying of hunger but we have leftover food on the plates every meal. Sigh. (I already very long never waste food liao. So I can say this out loud. =P)

The video above is too heavy for this post. lol. Let's neutralize the sobber with this funny song.

Back from Borneo

I'm finally back from Kota Kinabalu! Very tired and am suffering from stomachache.

Updates are only available when I get the compiled pictures from everyone.

Till then. I gotta go for a long hibernation. Nights.

------------

Saw a video on some beatboxing on Facebook just now.

I enjoy watching people beatbox (minus the imagination of the saliva and the poor smelly microphone). Some can create more than one sound at the same time.

But it's my first time seeing people beatbox using a flute! The first thing in my mind was "Whoa.. Something new from a boring flute!"

This is one of the performance by Nathan Lee. It's super amazing!

-------------

Have to add one more video mum recommended.

I've heard her names many times before this but I have never search for her videos. Her voice is brilliant! See the facial expressions of the judges and audiences before and after she sang. Simon looked touched and warmed (see 2:24). Her voice can warm people in a very special way.

Save Our Waterfalls 2

Went to "Save Our Waterfalls" campaign yesterday.

Didn't know it was gonna be that grand. Almost 200 people joined. Jabatan Perhutanan Awan, Jabatan Bomba & Penyelamat, Jabatan Pertahanan Awam and an ambulance were standbying at the base when we reached there. Music was blasting. MC was giving speeches. Medias like NTV7, TV3 and Utusan were there.

President (Joe Yap) being interviewed by NTV7

The crowd was big, ranged from kids to old folks. Breakfast, lunch and tea break were served. Free mineral water too.

Stretching the muscles before going for a walk

There were 4 categories to be chosen by the public to involve in:
A - Have to climb around 1 hour plus to the top of the waterfall and start picking rubbish from there down the hill. This category got A1-A4 (if not mistaken)
B - Climb to the middle and start picking around the area. This category also got a few sub-category la. But i dun remember got how many already.
C - Start picking near the base area
D - Sort out the rubbish

At first I wanted to choose A2 coz the organizers say A1 very tough. I scare I cannot make it and bring trouble to the organizers. But Soon insisted wanna join A1. Then I terpaksa la have to choose A1. Turned out A1 was even easier than Saga trek. -_- Luckily I didn't choose A2, later sure regret.

So we trekked up the hill and started picking up rubbish at the top.

Everyone busy picking up rubbish

After picking up rubbish A1 and A2 team took a picture at the top

Then going down have to pass down all the rubbish by human chain. We need a very very long human chain to pass down 3 tonnes of rubbish. Yes. We collected roughly 3 tonnes of rubbish that day.

Bomba also helped passing down the rubbish. =)

Sometimes during the passing down the rubbish process, the rubbish bag would tear and we had to change the rubbish bag. It took a lot of hard work..

And it ended with a group photo after we got the rubbish down at the base and had our lunch and goodies bags.

The group photos of everyone. The participants and organizers.
